[Bug] Flickering HUD, Gwent, Map, Inventory Items, and Bounty Board textures/effects.
First my specs, doubt that's the problem but i might as well throw it in here.
2x 280X in crossfire (extremely well cooled)
8 core FX 8350
8GB ram

I followed the optimizations suggested by AMD here:

http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/Optimizing-The-Witcher-3.aspx

Don't know what is causing these problems since I've validated my game cache countless times, kept my drivers up to date, and looked around for fixes (haven't found any yet).

HUD - Little arrow that shows up when you level up of use of place of power often has this white circle that flickers behind it. The quick menu sign icons flash look almost like they are rotating or alternating between two sign textures. Aside from that the hud is fine.

Gwent - The cards have a sort of glowing effect behind them when you zoom in on them at the start of a game that's just an ugly white circle for me. The Leader cards seem to flicker and even overlap your opponents leader with the image of your leader card or vise versa. The life gems seem to flicker.

Map - Icons are blurry and flicker, only happens when you put the cursor over them.

Inventory Items - Behave similarly to sign menu where the signs seem to be alternating between two signs mostly effects different types of coins. Where the florins (or crowns couldn't say which) seems to use the same icon as the crowns but it flickers between that icon and the one that its supposed to have.

Bounty Board - Notes on the bounty board flicker and they seem to be really blurry.

I have the same thing happening to me, I have a similar system to you only I have 2x290x and an fx8320, all liquid cooled BTW. I used to be able to fix it by simply restarting the PC and running the game again. Since the upgrade to windows 10 however, even with the 15.7.1 drivers, it happens all the time. Ive also noticed that my GPU's run about 10 degrees celcius higher when the flickering is present. If anyone finds a fix, I'd love to know how its done.

Yeah happends to me too 2x R9 270, flickering only when put cursor over it and the gwent flickers too.

Ok so it's not just me. Guess all that can be done is sit tight and hope for a fix. Doubt it's comming though since this issue has been persisting since i started using CrossfireX (which was arround 1.05/1.04 patch).

It does seem to be only AMD cards.. I havent heard of any NVIDIA users with this problem. I did find a temporary solution though. I seems the only time I get the flicker is when I use a shortcut to launch the game. If I run steam in big picture mode first, then head to my library to launch the game, I dont get the flickering. I'm not sure if this will help any of you, but I thought it would be worth the mention.

Thanks anyway but iam afraid it wont work with me i got the GOG version so i launch it from Galaxy Client

I sent a bug report to the devs and they replyed with the generic "thankyou for bringing this to our attention..." but we probably will just ignore it. Don't think they can do much about it since the issue is mostlikely caused by Nvidia gameworks, which only nvidia can do anything about. Since AMD is their competetor i doubt they will fix the issue (if it is indeed a nvida gameworks issue).

Well lets keep fingers crossed!

Indeed

All flickering issues seem to have resolved by using borderless windowed mode instead of full screen. takes a bit of a performance drop but looks better (quality). Hairworks also runs correctly in that mode. I have a AMD 8350 black 32Gb of 2133 memory with 2 crossfired XFX R9 290 DD's

ohh and Temp's are about 6c lower in borderless window

Thats because borderless fullscreen does not use crossfirex it only utalizes one video card. Thats why it goes away. Havent played in a few months so it may have been resolved.

Well not entirely true, I tweaked my G15's display to diag. when in borderless the 2nd card fires up however only seems to aid the #1 intermittently. When in fullscreen both cards have consistant load. Perhaps AMD will have to remedy the issue. I am still new to having crossfire, lots of fun though.

Turns out If you have multiple screens, (cloned or extended) the issue is present. At the time of my issue I had a 2nd monitor extended running in 720. once disabled issue was resolved. Cloned seems more stable, only once it happened with the monitor turned on before starting up the game. It also kept running great while streaming in 720p to twitch.

Good to hear. Problem is still persisting for me. If i recall 290s/290x don't need a crossfire bridge, and have a newer chip moddel. Since you have crossfire too and the issue has been resolved i'm thinking it has to do with the older cip they use on the 280(X). For me running borderless full disables the second card so I get 30-40 fps (thinking thats due to the older chip too).
I've been fiddiling arround tweaking this and that searching forums, its been over all a waste of time (fun but a waste of time), im just running the game with enabletemperalaa set to false, exclusive fullscreen, 60fps cap, aa off, hairworks off (don't really like it), folliage and grass set to medium. That seems to have more or less reduced the hitching/stuttering ass for flickering hud, map, ui, gwent, ect. hasn't changed.
Even though I hate those freaking sharks at Nvidia, i think i'll be getting their cards in the future (I realize that these issues are probobly NOT AMD's doing) it seems that they lhave more games optimized for their cards.
