Bah! it doesn't effect you in any way possible either way. It just gives you a reason to troll. I did make the most direct attempt at personally researching the answer. I asked the question
Anyway, I found nigredo recipe in a shipwreck in velen. I don't know where exactly it was, but here's a general idea: After you finish Keira's magic lamp quest, you come out onto a beach. Then go in the opposite direction from the water, head into the land. Go in a somewhat straight line for a few minutes and check your map. There should be an inlet of the sea (with a water hag around it, and some bloodmoss), approximately 400-500 steps to your left. There's also a useless rowboat lying half outside the water.
From here you can see the bits of a shipwreck in the water. Swim out to it, dive under. There, inside the captain's cabin(room under the wheel) you'll find a chest. There is also a wolf marking on the wall in that same cabin.
