How do I get massive amount of Coin
I'm replaying the game. Does anyone have any advice, any tricks they use to get a massive amount of coin. I know their are contracts. I find myself, often refusing coin for doing jobs because the person usually has a huge gulit trip on why they need the coin, but they offer to me anyways.

I'll give two examples, early on in the game when you have that contract by the well. The coin was to go to his daughter's wedding. I refused to take it, then when you kill the Griffin. That lord is beating up on some villager. I rejected it out of moral reasons.

Am I to be mortally correct, but without coin.

How do you earn yours.

You don't really earn any coin through quests anyway.. Even if you took all the coin you had refused in thae past it would mount up to maybe 500 at best.
You get coin by being the merchant.
Knowing who buys what and for what price.

First thing you always do when thinking of trading with someone is go directly into your "junk" section and see what thy would pay for a ruby ring.
This could be any other piece of jewellery too as it's something that can be sold anywhere.
You keep this one piece with you always just to tell you if you will be getting good prices for sales.
Ruby ring, 100+ coin = Result. This is the place sell whatever you can. Heavy ♥♥♥♥ first.
75~ = still worth it. Lose some weight and get the coin.
60~ = How lazy do I feel? It's not a good deal.
50~ = fast travel elsewhere.

As a general rule. If the place looks like rich people live there, the prices will be good. If it's a grotty hole. Expect to get shafted.

I suppose that makes sense. I'll apply that to my forumla. It was so taxing taking people's few coins. I just need enough to get my gear and potions. I don't like to take more then I need.

Yes if you have console enalber installed. As for i run around exploring unknown locations, kill bandits and sell what i find. I always seem to have enough coin for what i need. And i don't really care what merchant buys me goods.

The key to earning money is loot everything you can and sell the items to the proper merchant.

You want to sell swords and armor to smiths from major cities.

Some merchants buy animal fur at a much higher price than travelling merchants.

This is the way to do it.

The Bottle Merchant buys your items at full price.
The problem is that he does not have a lot of money.
You buy his bottles for 1 coin each and then you sell your stuff at ful price to him.
Then everytime you find a merchant ,while doing quests, you sell your bottles at 1 coin each.
Also bottles have no weight so that is a plus.

In 1.06 you could buy florens from the loan shark with your bottles, and then you could exchange your florents at vivaldi's bank.
In 1.07 the loan shark does not sell florens anymore.:(

1. Win the minigame, Gwent
2. Bargaining the payment when you receive the contract.
3. Use Trophy or item that give bonus gold when you kill enemies.

4. ***Most effective*** loot all items from all of enemies, treasures, boxes, jars and sell it. for the best price,
you must go to sell it in the city like Novigrad, Oxenfurt, KaerTrold Castle in Skeiliage
- Sword => Blacksmith
- Armor => Armorer
- Book => Bookshop in Novigrad (Hierren Square) or former merchant
- Crafting => everyone that we can do the business (not sure)
- alchemy => Herbalist or Alchemist
- Trophy => A mage in the church near the Oxenfurt gate in Novigrad
- consumeable => Innkeeper
- others => former merchant

5. Do not need to buy swords and armors. You can loot all on the way.

Money is hard to find in this game. So, spent it economical and worthwhile.
But I interest into get more experience than get more money. XDDD

I recently found that some crossbow bolts sell for crazy amounts, so whenever I'm low on cash I just sell a few of them.

Also, dusts sell for tons but you might need them later.

There is one good merchant in the game who buys things at FUUL price. Here is his location:

http://www.gosunoob.com/witcher-3/where-to-sell-monster-trophies-in-witcher-3/

It is best to sell your monster trophies to him, as noone else buys them even close to their price. The only problem is that he has little money, and he recovers his money for a long time. Still, he is my go - to guy when I want to sell a very expensive legendary item or a trophy. He also sells some goot items as well.

Keep essentials for alchemy and crafting. Rest goes.
Armors to the armorer, swords to the blacksmith.
Skins and trophies to the alchemist/trader next to Novigrad.
But you dont need it unless you are on death march.

Dont rush and sell stuff.

The difference in what a blacksmith will pay for armor compared with his neighboring armorer is marginal from what I've seen.. Make a general point of selling to the right one but if one runs out of money, it's not worth obsessing over. It's a few coins at the end of the day.

I kill bandits and other humans that want to fight, Take their weapons and sell them to a blacksmith, Usually if I have a full inventory of weapons I can get 500 crowns or more.

There's a finite amount of gold you can earn through quests (mostly contracts, races and tournaments of gwent/fistfighting). The best way I know to get some coin is by selling loot to the right people.

Loot everything after the fight (all those crappy swords and blackjacks, maces, etc). Weapons drop regularly, and there's bandits everywhere, so you can make a pretty decent coin with them.

The 2 NPCs that pay the best for weapons/armor are the Transgender Elf just outside Novigrad, and the armourer in the Hierarch Square of novigrad. The latter has a pretty big stock of crowns, so you can sell a lot of stuff.

Another hint is to ALWAYS save before haggling for a contract, try get at least 300 crowns out of it, 350 would be optimal, but it's hard.

After the contract you would usually spend 150 crowns repairing your stuff, so there's at least half for you.

Just by investigating the "?" marks you will get more money (sell the stuff) than you can use. All of the underwater ones are just treasure, btw.
Strandly Jul 24, 2015 @ 12:06pm
1.) Don't eat honeycombs, sell them to herb vedors for crazy money.
2.) Go to Skellege and harvest all the ? in the ocean, they're all trash loot.
3.) Repair all items before you sell them-- you get a better price and you'll get all the money back from the vendor in addition to being able to unload your junk across fewer NPCs.

I'm playing on death march and have 45 K gold and nothing to buy.
