How to earn money late game?
I'm level 33 and want to make some mastercrafted armor but its very expensive to buy all those materials. And almost all quests i come across are grey because their recommended level is much lower, so the reward gives almost nothing.

Any high level contracts or other ways to make cash at this point without using exploits?

if you've been looting even a little bit you should be able to dismantle some stuff for most of the reagents.
fist fighting quest line gives you a bit of gold too.

Already done all the fist fighting quest line's. Sadly most stuff doesnt give dimeterium when you dismantle it.

lvl33 and you need to BUY materials for the last tier of witcher armor sets? Sounds a little strange. At the end of my first playthrough i had about 40.000 gold and the only material i needed to buy for all witcher set items was only leather (in my second playthrough i dismantled the hides which give enough leather).

Just loot all "?" locations in Novigrad, Velen and Skellige and you will have enough and of course loot every chest on your way (constant checking with witcher sense to get everything). The only "?" locations i left out were about 70-80 in the ocean of Skellige that was to stupid...

And yeah you should only buy important stuff at vendors which is nearly nothing. As far as i rember i bought only:
- herbs for potion upgrades
- plans for potions, oil
- no armor, no weapons, no rune plans
- except of a little leather no materials

Lower levels only effect XP, the money for contracts is still the same

I bought rune plans AND created runes, and still had enough money. Unlike witches 2, money is not a problem here

It's kinda because i had a mod for skyrim that made the weight limit lower, so i'd be punished for hoarding. So i didnt realize you could easily get money by hoarding until i was the weight of the items. Guess i'll do that now. Thanks for the help everyone.

I did that as well, by the end of the game, that "top notch swords" blacksmith in Novigrad probably had hundreds of maces, axes, and small blackjacks in his inventory. Witch hunters are good, too, because they drop dimeritium shackles, which sell for a decent price.

There is also an alchemist just N/NE of Novigrad that buys items at very good prices, but he seems to disappear later in the game (maybe gets killed by witch hunters ?).

Or maybe.. just maybe.. dismantle them to get dimeri ore and craft ingots?
