THE WITCHER3 BUG : MAIN QUEST: ISLES OF MIST!!!!

So I am at the part where you get in the boat to retrieve Ciri from the Isle of Mists. I get in the boat at Kaer Trolde then sail out to the Isle of Mists to where the mission marker is... the thing is it doesnt activate or say that I have completed that objective. I know you are supposed to be led by the firefly that the elf gives you in kaer morhen but that does not activate either. Im wondering if this is just a hopeless glitch or if I need to complete some other storyline first. or do I need to be level 22 since that is the suggested level. I get the suggested save messages and the warning that some quests might not be available after this. and just after that Geralt says "A long trek requires a fellowship. oughta Cobble one together." i dont know what that means. Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated since I am dying to play this mission!

I belive that after the warning messages you are supposed to say ok, or yes, or something like that. Then a cutscene and the mission starts. If you decline, you keep going, and Geralt says things like that when you are at the edge of the world. Anyway thats how it worked for me

Lol, Czech is attacking Poland. You could probably just cross the border and ask them personally.

I had this problem too, so it's not unique. Mine repeatedly asked me to save, despite saying yes each time. When I backed out of it, it didn't send me to the isle of mists, so the only thing I could do was get back into the boat and sail to the quest point, and then endure the endless asking me to save.

Just found the solution. While it's endlessly asking to save, spam the yes button. Eventually it let me do that and then progress to the island.

I had the same problem, but think i figured it out. I dont think its a bug. Just sail to the point. Dont go ashore. Its part of the quest.

Guys, this is so frustrating, I have tried all the recomendations on the web and still can't enter, how can I get a solution on this, should I ask for a refund or what?

Oh men, so, go back as far as I can? Well, I could do that, but, I’m afraid, true afraid, that I might qet the same problem again and that would be too much to wear.

Hellouuuu people, yes I'm glad to inform you that I was able to get past that bug. I wrote to CD proyectred and Pawel ther was able to help me, gave me these instructions and they worked.

Hello,

Please try verifying integrity of game cache,

1. Launch Steam client.
2. From the Library section, right-click on The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and select Properties from the menu.
3. Select the "Local files" tab and click the "Verify integrity of game cache..." button.
4. Steam will verify the game's files - this process may take several minutes.

Once the files are verified load game save file made before this issue occurred.

I play the hell out of it untill I finish the game in fear that another bug might come along but nothing bad happened.
