Counter 10 in a row without being hit or parrying?!...

Why tf did they make an achievement that depends on you having 30fps or better?

I only get 15 frames max because I'm limited and sometimes the point at which I need to counter is 1 frame of animation -- if I miss it... gotta start over.

I have gotten to 7 max ... this achievement will allude me forever, cause I'm not able to get an upgrade anytime within the forseeable future.

I am looking into getting an external GPU for the interrim... since Games are moving to DX11, but again... monies are an issue ... paying bills and family must come first. :)

I haven't seen anyone say this so, have you tried getting the skill in the alchemy tree that slows time down so you have a better chance to counter attack?

And have you tried lowering your resolution to get higher framerate? If you haven't you could always just lower the res, get the achievement and go back to your previous resolution.

Yeah... I use superior blizzard and all my settings are on low. I'm gonna facepalm right now ... I didn't think to change the resolution because is messes with my OS display settings and takes a while to set it back up again.

Listen pal, I am living in Ukraine, my country in war with Russian Federation, our level of life has dropped twice and even I don't think that $600 it's to much for PC

There is an issue with laptop's VGA that has been there for quite some time, years I guess, though I haven't experienced it myself yet.

I heard, without the right config, some laptops would always use integrated graphic card as their primary VGA.

I think you're right. The videos I've been watching on the eGPU setup seem to show that the eGPU runs along side the integrated GPU.
One guy played 1080p versions of skyrim at full detail on a 1.2ghz buisness class laptop that was 9 years old.

Hell I run this game on a decent desktop at 30FPS minimum and have still had trouble with this achievment. I tried to do it when I gave fencing lessons to Var Attre and in the little fight with Dandelion and STIL couldn't do it lol.

I finally figured out how to cheese this one... I decreased the resolution specifically for it ... then I dropped the difficulty to story mode only... then went and did the Gorgeous George fight in Novigrad... backed up to force him to heavy-hit and blocked 10.

Thanks to everyone that helped me put the pieces together on how to cheese it.

Is anyone actually having trouble getting the achievement other than because of low FPS? I've countered 10 attacks in a row many times and haven't gotten the achievement. I wish I could just let this go but it's such an easy one to get. It's becoming very frustrating how long this is taking now. The way I do it is to kill all the bandits in a mob except for 1 and I just let him run at me. I press LT (xbox controller) to counter and nothing else. I don't move Geralt, I don't cast any signs, and I don't eat/drink. I literally wait for the bandit to attack me and counter at the right time. Yes, I am sure I am countering correctly (he blocks and then knocks the bandit back). Yes, I am sure I'm not parrying. Please any help will be great.
