Thank you so much for your incredibly insightful and revelatory response.
I cant see a STEAM MODDING FORUM, you can? I can see only banned modders LOL
Go to the fallout or skyrim forums and complain about them discussing modding there, see how well it works out for you.
No, steam only hosts the 'steam workshop' for many games, because why? A place to easily download and install MODS for those games... Some games are only playable because of community mod efforts, fixing bugs never addressed, stability, better GFX, and QOL improvements etc. So stfu if you don't know what you're saying.
[eye roll and face palm]
Said the next modder. BORING GUYS
you got your answer/solution. cool.
im sure you realise you will also get a load of knee-jerk comments from white knights who somehow think their way of vanilla gaming far surpasses your low-life-low-iq way of approaching a single player game with mods, codes, cfg edits and all the rest.
until the dev magically changes the game's rule set over night and adds into the vanilla game what you have modded in years ago. then all of a sudden the same white knights be parroting back whatever the "new" update is pitching as "vanilla"
in case you hadnt noticed, that was sarcasm & a generalisation.
these people dont even deserve a reply so just enjoy your game however you see fit.
Pretty much. Its funny. If someone tells them how they should play their single player game. How much you wanna bet their reply will be go jump of a bridge. Something to that affect.
But the second someone ask about a console command.
play it right Play it the way we agree with. Play your single player game how I want you to.
Its also pretty funny because eventually all games will be developed with modding in mind.
Skryim se was the first game I myself have heard of that was made specifically because of mods. There may be others. Skyrim se was just the first I heard of.
Games have come out with devs specifically releasing mod tools to the public.
Eventually modding will be apart of most games.
They already are. Just look at nexusmods.com. It may be difficult to find a modern game that doesnt have a page on nexus. Eventually devs will make it easier and easier to mod. My bet is they will even make it so you can create mods directly in game eventually.
