Skipping Dialog or Cut scenes

I find that skipping cut scenes and Dialog is very annoying in this game. You can't skip the whole cut scene or all the dialog at one time you can only skip one line at a time. A whole movie segment you have to press x on the game pad several times skipping one line at a time. The same for lengthy dialog I want to skip the whole dialog or the whole movie sequence. There should be an potion for this in the settings. It should have a row for skipping and the options should be whole or segmented. When the whole setting is on the entire scene or dialog is skipped on segmented it only segments are skipped at a time.

Why play an RPG if you are just gonna skip the text? Unless you have already heard it all before, but even still that's pointless and entirely defeats the purpose of a story driven game.

The cutscenes are considered a part of the gameplay in an RPG. That is why it only skips a line at a time. You are supposed to be paying attention to the story in this game.

As a father, I just wish I could pause then (cutscenes and dialogs). Sometimes, you just can't pay attention at all.

Well, maybe the OP is playing the game for like the third time, in which case wanting to skip some dialogues/cutscenes is entirely understandable.

i skip the dialog all the time. You can read the line in a fraction of the time it takes them to say it, and other times you know what they re going to say you dont have to read it. It's really only the a few of the more interesting (main plot related) dialogs you want to watch.

If this game only skipped whole the dialog at a time, i would get annoyed.

I am on my second play through. and say you are playing Gwent some of the dialog befor getting into playing the game are few to several lines. i have to press x for each line. gets annoying no?

on second play through its not so much about story line it is mor abot finishing quests.

not sure if i'm disgusted or pissed off. i like dialogues and stuff in this game and it's one of the few games where i enjoy reading stuff since i'm interested, but even so, it gets annoying and boring when it's your 7th or 9th ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ playthrough. come on, use your brains a little (it's not that hard, really). if the guy wants to skip the dialogue, it's his choice. the game belongs to him. he ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bought it. i think every game should have an option to automatically skip this kinda stuff

Wow I forgot to unsubscribe from this discussion. But then again seeing how my last comment was the last one before your comment and it being about 8 years old, I am surprised you think your comment has any relevance anymore after such a long time span.

What I absolutely hate is that you have to press the button TWICE for each individual line. I'm not skipping the dialogue completely, but I can read a lot faster than they can talk. The one mod that seemed to make this better doesn't work anymore :(
