Greater Red Mutagen?
At this point in the game I've got tons of red mutagens. I don't see an option to craft a greater red mutagen in the alchemy menu though. Do they not exist, or do I have to get a recipe for them in the game?

I dont remember ever getting a recipe for it. Its just there with the rest of the greaters.
Now do you have Lesser red mutagens or monster ones like werwolf mutagen? Because you cant combine the monster ones.

After the last patch, if you have at least 3 red mutagens, you should be able to create one greater red mutagen in your alchemy section. You do not need a recipe. It takes 3 lesser mutagens to make one mutagen, and three mutagens to make a greater one.

Yeah, Red ones just seem extremely rare. I've gotten a ton of red mutagens, but they are all monster specific, ie: Werewolf mutagen, etc. instead of just normal "Red Mutagen". So they won't become Greater Red Mutagens. I've gotten like 5 Greater Blue Mutagen"s though however, it just seems as if the drop rate is screwed up.

They need to stack the mutagens in inventory.. They all look the same so you are forever mouse-hovering to find anything. annoying

Agree.

Also, more ways to get rid of them rather than just 5 crowns.

I found 2 great places to farm the Red's.

Southwest of Redgill, over the hill, L18 Drowners, run back and fast travel to Whale Graveyard, go northwest, same group of L18 Drowners. They still drop mostly blues and greens, but the reds come real fast too.

I can fast travel back and forth, no meditating or waiting, and just kept on till I got what I needed.

Still playing ver 1.02, the only bug I got was the pig on Fool's Gold.

Hope it works for you too.

Oh, AND they need to fix the mutagens not working unless manually taken out and put back in at start of each load up.. I mean what kind of Bollocks is that?
