Monocle from 'A Frying Pan'

I'm almost 300 hours in the game, I know every single cave. What I'm suppose to do with the monocole from White Orchide? It's marked as a quest item. What am I missing?

I know the guy. I even found the traces of Odrin in TW3 :)) But monocole still sits in inventory and marked as quest item not a hint

There are tons of quest items left in the inventory, even after the quests are over, so it's not only the monocle.

Those items has been used. This is why I wonder what is it for?

^^ This. They don't go away. They're kept as mementos apparently. Like the black crystal bird skull from the Prologue, although you can mention it to Yen. And the Rose of Remembrance, which you can mention to Triss. As well as Triss' earring from the bed Yen tosses over the balcony at Kaer Morhen. Rose of Remembrance- mention it to Triss and it will move to trash stache
