Are Succubus really evil?

If possible avoid spoilers since my playthrough is incomplete.

Judging by the description the succubus seem like the least harmful of the "monsters" but thats the thing.

In all other games with succubus it was obvious they were evil incarnate and needed to be killed off. In this game though I'm not a hundred percent certain but thats just the thing, are the simply manipulating you? I always felt like a real succubus should make someone question rather they are truely evil or not as opposed to say "Dragon age Origin" where the moment you met one it was "BURN IT BURN IT WITH FIRE!!!!"

Rather it's true or not I think this is a succubus done right and I love that.

In the Witcher not all evil looking creatures are monsters. Some of them have to choose the evil side

They aren't evil. They don't kill people unless threatened. All they do is drain energy from men during sexy time but leave them totally unharmed.

Absolutely, you should totally kill everything non-human with fire(preferably of the eternal kind), they're all monsters!

Seriously though, they're intelligent creatures and each of them is their own person and like with us ever-so-jolly humans...it depends on the person.

Even in Dragon Age it's hard to talk about how evil succubus are when you consider how evil some humans are. So it certainly applies here but I just enjoy how much more depth the succubus in Witcher seem to have compared to DAO.

In the world of the Witcher, Succubi belong to the monster group of Fiends. However, not all Fiends are evil or out for blood.
Succubi are essentially sex addicts and will go out of their way to get it. Most of them are actually pretty sweet about it; showering their lovers with care and attention. Others can be more ruthless though, and don't care if their passions harm their chosen lovers.
Still, I've never heard of Succubi being eager to hurt or use violence. There is definitely something fishy going on with Samona, though.
