depends on your build. and what weapon you using. If you sword already have 10% stun, then it might be a good idea to add to it so it proc more often. etc. if you are sign heavy build, then sign bonus might be a good choice.
Not a big fan of bleeding and poison and burning because those take "time" to work.
Armor piercing and attack power seem pretty straight forward to me. Just DPS increases. Attack power is probably the better of the two.
Yea but DoT attacks are like unobstructed free hits if your facing a tough opponent on Bnb or DM.
But then again with AP and AMP is always doing something when the sword connects. Still up in the air on those; n% Chance for free addional hits or constant DPS boost but increased chances of receiving fatal blows or instant killed.
Thoughts?
I hear stagger is good but I think it may be bugged for me? I never notice it's effect.
Anywho, you can get alot of DoT if you stack bleed runestones, get the oil ability that poisens the target, and use igni to burn. I've gotten up to around 500+ DoT ticks by stacking all 3. Helped alot when I was farming an ogre for XP and fiend for red mutagens.
Anyway, after several more hours of playing, I think i've just settled on attack power. Using a fast strikes critical hit build, every bit of more AP I get means bigger hits when I crit. Seems much better than anything else.
Dots haven't really been an issue, everything just dies really fast even on the hard difficulty.
For instance, alchemy may already be poisoning the enemy with "Poisoned Blades" so adding poison to either sword would be redundant. Same with bleed and Cat School sword or melee ability "Crippling Strikes"
Stunning/Stagger/Freeze seems to be more effective for Sign Builds whereas Attack Power/Armor Pen for fast strike Melee Builds and Bleed/Poison/Burn for heavy Melee Builds.
Consider your build when choosing. Blanket recommendations may always be sound advice but it is likely not catered to how you chose to play.
This is the best, most brief answer I have found in the 20 minutes of searching I did. Cudos!
