Am I supposed to lose to these two guys? I am currently 19th level and they are both 12th level. However, when they hit me they take about a 3rd of my health but I take only a 10th of theirs. Then, on my third reload (very annoying because I have to hear the narrative everytime) I knocked one guy out and got the other guy down to a sliver of health but couldn't seem to do any damage after that.

no you dont lose to them...your supposed to beat them its just one of the harder fist fights....counter then fast attack strong attack back up and repeat

i could be wrong though....i just paid them on my second play through but i think i beat them on my first

You don't have to beat them.

They clearly tell you that they'll help you, win or lose.

If you must beat them, fist fights in this game are a joke. Just stand back, let them approach, and block the first swing they throw. Then give them a couple heavy punches and back off again.

Then, wait for them to approach again...

This fight was tough but did it with about 3 reloads. First couple rounds i was like wtf... but then I got out my dark souls enthusiasm and would wind up a strong attack as one of them would approach (which will break their block) then follow with a quick light attack and retreat, followed this tactic and beat them the third time.

It's about positioning too, try to move around in such away both cannot attack you at the same time.

I finaly beat them after 5 annaying reloads. The trick is to position them to fight one at a time. But you also need to use the dodge button as well as the block. For some reason the big guy is very hard to hit once he has a sliver of health left.
