Can I mix the armour set? cat and wolf
So I just got the basic feline ( cat ) armour set, and it's pretty good but I use signs and sword very frequently , currently level 16. The cat gear has hardly or no sign intensity attribute at all so u was thinking if I can mix up. For example... wolf silver and steel sword with cat armour?

And on a side note, does having the full cat/bear/griffin/wolf worn give you bonus attributes?

Thanks guys! Awesome game. Loving it.

Depends of skills you using! For example Wolf is medium armor, so you may loose bonus from "Cat school technique" skill by change light armor to medium or heavy. As a pure melee player I stay with full cat armor set but changed swords to Wolfs, because they are much stronger than any others.

I'm quite clueless with my skills.. so I've been mainly adding it to light attacks, a few to heavy. And more to igni and axii. I use igni quite alot. And others when deemed fit. So can I use wolf school weapons with cat school armour?

Oh and. There's a cat school techniques skill....? WHERE. HAHAHA

Last group of skills before mutagens. Each part of light armor boost your fast atacks bonus by 5% and critical strikes by 25%.

Stupidly OP skills for 1 pt honestly :) Not that I'm complaining...

Yes you can mix them up, I like cat/ursine mix with both light and heavy armour perks, gives a decent attack bonus and acceptable vigor recovery
bad idea to mix medium/light armor because you should only get 1 of the school technique points, you can mix griffin and wolf if you want since they are both medium.

I see ! Thanks alot, you guys are great. Sorry I'm new to the witcher series, been an assassin creed gamer for a month. It got me into some gaming. Haha! Please excuse my noobness :p

Where do I get mutagens ? I'm only level 16 now and I started act 2. Am I going too fast with my main story?

Nekkers are a good source of normal green and blue mutagens. Those can be combined to larger ones. The monster type mutagens, like "Griffin mutagen", can drop from that monster type. Those are needed for decoctions.

Normal red mutagens are a bit harder to come by. Alghouls seem drop them reasonably often.

Ah ! I see I see ! Thanks , time to go farming hehehe.
Oh and... don't mind me asking again because it's 1am over here and I can't play till tomorrow, are steel and silver weapons considered as "Cat school armour" If I add my ability point to cat school technique..?

Swords are not armour by definition
PPW68 Jun 29, 2015 @ 10:29am
No. There are 4 armour pieces: boots, trousers, body, gloves.

I would recommend you to use both sword of Forgotten School Wolf and the chestplate of Forgotten School Wolf armor. That way will active the first set buff for forgotten school wolf gear.

Than use the Wolf School Gear (Boots, Gauntlets and Pants), this will active the first buff of the set too. Perfect combo with high damage.

Obs: Lightness is high recommended in the chestplate. for the steel sword, i would recommend disruption/rupture (don't know the correct word, my game is in portuguese, anyway for the silver sword, use whatever you think is best).
