Potential Spoiler Alert: Velen Spoils of War

Has anyone been able to examine the withcher logo on the sunken ship in Velen, one of the spoils of war. You loot the chest and as you are leaving the cabin use your witcher sense and there is a red witcher logo on the wall. Swimming up to it it prompts you to examine it but nothing!

Which logo is it? That usually signifies that a witcher gear diagram is there

Its the wolf logo and no I haven't been able to examine it either tried everything from reloading game, to exiting and loading earlier save. Nothing seems to work and there isn't any Witcher gear diagram in that chest either only a diagram for an oil of some type I think or an alchemy ingredient.

I got a Witcher gear diagram there. IIRC it was one of the Ursine swords, and it was in a chest at the botttom of the main room, not inside the cabin.

It's the Wolven Steel Sword, mastercrafted. And it's under the stairs.

I couldn't examine the wolf sign on the ship either and there is no chest under the stairs. There is one in the cabin but I can't loot it. I tried saving/loading. It's kinda driving me crazy now. I can't even find the loot for spoils of war.

I just recently did that. Putting Geralt into just the right position to trigger it was a challenge.

All examining the wolf symbol will do is get you a "oughta look around" comment (or not since he's underwater) and a search area on the HUD map. The diagram is in a chest under the stairs and it can be difficult to get Geralt into the correct position for the "Loot" interaction to appear. But if the diagram has already been looted (check your Crafting menu - if the sword is there, then you have), there is no interaction available for the wolf picture, even though it continues to glow red.

Oh thanks, I thought you "activate" the chest/loot for diagram examining the wolf sign. I don't have if unfortunately and I'll try again when I cool off. Thank you both.

SPOILER SOLVED -

If you go underwater, there is a cabin in the rear of the sunken boat. There is a chest there containing the recipe for regular black blood. This poisons vampires when they bite you. Just like in the trailer for the game. Also in the cabin as you exit, there is a witcher symbol.


Outside in front of the cabin, you will see a grate on the floor that shows there is more down inside the boat. There are also stairs leading upward.

Keep going to the front of the boat, and you will see an opening passage that leads down some stairs to a large area which is the interior of the boat. There is a chest under these stairs containing wolf steel sword. There is also more loot that is also important. A chest containing the recipe for the demetrium bomb. Something I have been trying to obtain for awhile.
