Just use some strong sword, it may take time, but you will kill him. Wild Hunt mobs are immune to much things, and honestly IMHO Imlerith is the most powerful boss in game :)
Aard=doesnt work most of the time, the knock back is ok but harder enemies are immune
Igni= every one but the hounds are immune to it, you'd think an ice based enemy like this would be weak to igni...but nope! it does little to no damage.
Quen= remains only useful sign in these fights, but this goes for every spec pretty much.
Axii= unless you poured alot into it doesnt do much charm might be useful in larger fights i dont know i dont have points in axii aside from tier 1
Yarden: Can be useful if speced heavy into it, i hope this helps later as i respec'd to dump points into it as an alternative but vs this boss it only did 20 damage not enougth to matter....
The point i am driving home is that you do not create a spec that relies heavily on one facet of the game play IE magic, then make your end game enemies nigh on immune to that play style. Making 50-75% of the signs all but useless vs these enemies is very very very very poor balancing. Its not that i cant win, its just that i'm having to use a very weak sword, that has no runes in it for sword play since i am so heavily invested in magic.
It feels like i was punished in this fight for choosing magic over melee... that was my point.
Doesnt make a real impact, using thunderbolt to boost my attack power literally gives me 10-20 extra damage, unless you build specifically for melee your sword damage isn't all that great it is passable, but my friend has a combat build and i watched him kill a golem fairly quickly even though was a much higher level then he was. I on other hand spend 30 mins wailing on those things because magic just doesnt do much damage to them.
Case in point, immunity is annoying...and its really starting to ruin the game for me...
