This is plastered all over the CDPR forums.
It's still really odd about that Fleet Footed skill though.... why did they leave it in when it literally does nothing at all?
I'd say the system should stay this way untill they fix fleetfooted and hitboxes first.
Watch the combat info box for evidence.
It is true there's a microsecond where you're NOT invulnerable before you can dodge again (versus, say, vanilla Risen 3 where you can effectively chain dodge after dodge together), but you CAN parry during that time, making you, for all intents and purposes, completely invulnerable.
And Fleet Footed still is non-functional.
An ENTIRE 5-PART SKILL is completely non-functional. In a AAA game. After multiple patches.
Marinate with that.
Geralt...laughably OP.
It's a console game.
Let the kids have their bundles & bunches of fun.
Yeah, too hard to spam, and the entire roll isn't bathed in iframes.
You keep going on and on about i-frames.
There are none.
So while you keep going with your tinfoil hat crusade, to anyone that is interested, here's what is going on.
The skill he is referencing is not broken.
There are no i-frames.
What is happening is that the hitboxes are completely fubar.
They do not align anywhere near what is rendered.
When it seems you shrugged off damage from a hit that connected, thus appearing invulnerable, what really happened is that the blow connected with the render, but the hitbox was outside the strike. Thus, obviously, you take no damage.
I think the game is pretty well done, but the hitboxes are complete crap.
Imlerith mace clearly goes through Geralt:
