More ways to find Letho? (No Spoilers)
Hi.
So the thing is, that i knew there is somewhere Letho in this game, but I deside not to look on youtube for exact location of quest with him (which was big mistake). So I played a lot, and now I´m closing to the end with story, I´m on Skellige. So I said to myself, maybe it´s time to look for him, because I didn´t meet him earlier. I looked on youtube for some videos, and I found that I can meet him in quest The Fall of the House of Reardon, more precisely Ghosts of the Past. The thing is, I completed this quest first week when I played TW3, but I didn´t know he was there.
But now I really don´t know how, but I successfully completed the quest The Fall of the House of Reardon without disarming the traps and finding Letho. I even collected the secret price from the chest of that old lady. Well and when I came back to that place, looking for Letho, he obviously wasn´t there.
I searched google and youtube and didn´t find any other way to meet him, except this quest. So I ask, if you guys don´t know about some other way of finding him, except that quest Ghost of the past? I really want this guy to help me later :)
Thanks, Dswp

As far as I know, that is the only place where you can find him. When you answered the General's questions, did you say you spared him?
Vellari Jun 26, 2015 @ 10:38am
To my knowledge, just that quest. And after that (if you so chose) later at Kaer Moerhen with the rest of your allies.

No, because the General didn´t ask me questions, he just talked with me, because I didn´t import any save game from TW2 and in new game´s settings I choose "do not simulate story from TW2",which means my story world should be set on default.

Then in the default story, Letho must be dead, I think.

No, here is/was there. If Letho is dead to begin with, the quest is different. There will be no traps (as Letho isn't there to place them), instead the place is overrun with Wraiths.

Yea in the default game Letho is dead, you either simulate and say otherwise or import your W2 save with him alive

I thought it can be that thing with imports and desicions. Thank guys for help, it´s like Vellari said, because I don´t remember any traps on the ground, just the wraiths to fight. I guess next time I start a new game I know what to do :)

Oh okay, I see now. So you did find the traps. You just didn't pay attention to the quest directions then because it told you to investigate further. Either way, you were supposed to check and clear all of the buildings in the quest. You would have ended up in the barn eventually. And I'm positive that disarming the traps and making your way towards the barn would have triggered the Ghosts in the Past quest as you were supposed to find out who'd put all those traps there.

Hey, don't feel bad. I knew a guy who missed pretty much everything really important in a cutscene and in the very room where he was supposed to interact with an NPC. When I pointed out that he'd missed some really vital things that this NPC had done that made his guilt quite clear, he admitted he didn't notice the dead bodies everywhere around him. Go figure.
there were ghosts and no traps, sadly. and i also checked out all the buildings but none was inside them.

Ghosts and no traps means that Letho is dead, so you won't find him. Unless you want to keep the Witcher 2 tatoo, as BuzzardBee says, it's safest to simulate a Witcher 2 save when you start a new game. Default is that Letho is dead.

There is an autosave file generated at the end of the game, you must import this one, in order to keep Letho alive, since this is only save generated after the decision to kill him or not. You imported some older save file, that is why Letho is dead. Sadly, during import, it can happen that this last save will not be on the last position, so it is easy to import the wrong file.
