Dive Bug Fix??

Does anyone have a for sure fix of this in 2025? I spent over an hour last night trying just about everything I could think of to fix it. Including save/reload/reboot many times.

Worst case I guess I could keep playing and hope it fixes itself on its own, but atm I cant complete Devil in the Well because of it.

"What worked for me when it happened was to stand at the edge of the boat (or dock), facing the water and jump in, then hit the dive key [C] right away after you hit jump [E] and then hit the the swim key [W]. If you timed it right Geralt will just dive in and start swimming under water. Once under water, keep swimming around for a little bit, and then surface.
Once you surface the dive button should work ok. At least until the next time.
I've had to do this 3-4 times throughout the game but it takes less then a minute so easier then reloading."

Posible bug? Can't dive into water?

As title. Its happened a few times aorund Skellige. I've tried to dive into the water and it won't let me lol. Weird thing is, if those siren things knock me under the water, I can dive deeper and ascend too. But once back at the surface, I can't dive in again!

Anyone else had this?

Annoying when this happens. Reloading or sometimes diving in can reset it. Sometime it takes a game restart to do so.

I just had to search for this topic myself. I saved and reloaded and Geralt dove straight to the bottom in half a second. ♥♥♥♥♥♥ knew what was going on the entire time...

There's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of bugs still in this game... If you ask me I'd rather have Bethesda games' bugs than this. This is 100 times more annoying.

I don't disagree with you that not being able to dive is pretty damn annoying and should have been fixed, but let's not ever let Bethesda off the hook for their poor QA efforts. They're way worse than CDPR in this regard.

You're surprised? They stopped working on the game with the last patch released which was September 1, 2016. So in 2020, this issue will still be there.

It like you knew the future - it is now 2020 and your right the issue is still there.....
