How does the Replenishment runeword work?
The description says that when you cast a Sign, it adds the power of the Sign to your next sword attack but what does it actually do? Does it increase damage, and if so by how much? Does it add a status effect to your sword attack based on the Sign? I can see this working for Igni, Axii and Aard but I don't know how this would work with Quen and Yrden. I just got Grandmaster gear and I need to know if it's worth using this runeword in my sword or I should go with a different one, like the one that increases damage based on your health regen.

If your a swordsmanship build severance is probably your best weapon enchant.

Alchemy the one that extends potion duration even further for each hit is probably the best.

Signs Replenishment can work, since unless your using the cast free signs with adrenaline points talent, you don't need adrenaline for much. Thematically it is also rather cool for the most mage/spellsword build to be enchanting its blades with magic.

If you like to let enemies kill themselves on alternate quen you could also go with Invigoration, which gives your next attack bonus damage on overheals.

From what I've seen.

Igni makes your attack burn the enemy and may do extra damage (not sure about second part).

Axii makes your attack stun.

Quen makes your attack heal you.

Yrden slows the enemy hit.

Aard is a knock back/stagger, technically I think its a knockdown but doesn't have a high enough chance to be reliably more than a stagger.

Personally I saved the gold :-) I have never needed rune words. I powered up Arrd to max including the freeze mutation.... Why stagger, when u can freeze? i use rage management btw, most excellent skill, long as i keep the hits going, free signs.

Thanks, I have Aerondight now which I will be using for a long time so I'll try putting Replenishment in it for the versatility of being able to imbue it with different effects.

MM Aerondight, actually isint the best sword, it's a very very good sword, how-ever I currently have a silver sword, that do's more base damage, with 3 rune slots and 15% chance to bleed and 15% chance to stun, I sold Aerondight when I picked this sword up, it's served me better on DM then Aerondight.

There's also a flaw in aerondight, u might not be aware of(I consider it a flaw) When you reach 10 charges, the effect is only applied, upon the attacked monsters death.
