superior legendary wolven gauntlets

was about to craft them and then saw that they required enhanced griffin gauntlets but ive started the new game plus and im unable to get the normal versions of the griffin gauntlets just the legendary version is it really impossible for me to craft them?

Go to your previous save and get them. Also you cannot use new game + twice in a row.

OP yes I've noticed all kind of problems and oversights with legendary witcher gear in NG+. You should still be able to track down the basic enhanced griffin gauntlets though. Each chest that contains witcher gear is supposed to contain the regular version and the legendary version. Now why it requires basic enhanced griffon gauntlets is beyond me. I've noticed that the Enhanced Wolf swords only have two slots for upgrades when they're supposed to start with three. Being how even the basic lengendary gear is supposed to be an upgrade from mastercrafted gear and all... I also remember that crafting the legendary enhanced wolf gaunlets didn't require me to have the basic legendary wolf gaunlets.

Did nobody find a way around this?
I just decided to track down all the legendary wolf gear. Started to craft it all up to mastercrafted all in one go as I have been using the feline gear (since it's the best, being light it has stamina regen bonus) up til now.
I figured I was being a good wolf school graduate, taking all wolf gear and swords, mastercrafted.
Crafted my way down the list from top the bottom until I get to the gauntlets, and it asks for something that is now impossible to get for the enhanced set; REGULAR enhanced griffin gauntlets.
I have some mastercrafted griffin gauntlets, but they are no good. I have mastercrafted regular feline gear. But all my diagrams have been replaced with legendary now, except for a couple (I don't know why a couple remained but not the rest), so I can't get the wolf gear I want.
I have been playing NG+ for a while now and the more I play it the more I feel it was just rushed out without too much effort being put into it.

In New Game plus it will give you the old gear and the legendary together each time. Go to the place you would normally get griffen gloves, you'll see it has legendary and the old version together. Hope you see this and don't load the old save file like the previous guy said, completely unnecessary and waste of time

No it doesn't.
I have all feline gear and all wolven gear now, and all I have is legendary for everything except wolven. I assume this is because it was DLC and is somehow different.
I have all but the last of the griffin gear, and zero of them so far have been regular, all have been legendary.
I didn't bother getting even the first set of bear gear because heavy armour is just rubbish in this game. Light armour offers the same if not better protection, gives better mobility and a bonus to stamina regen. I never saw how the balance was even remotely right for the armour in this game, heavy is just beyond pointless. And it looks silly, makes Geralt look like he is wearing a dress or something.

That seems to only be the case for the Wolven gear. All the Wolf gear chests contain both the regular version and the legendary version.

But for anyone still stuck on this: the only way around it as of right now is to download one of the mods from the nexus that fixes it. There's at least two on the nexus and they both work.

What are you even talking about here? What are the "superior legendary wolven gauntlets"? Is this another upgrade I'm not aware about?

In new game +, when you get the witcher gear diagram's, they aren't just the regular gear. They are called "legendary" gear.
So you get, for instance, legendary wolven gauntlets. Enhanced legendary wolven gauntlets. Superior legendary wolven gauntlets. And finally, mastercrafted legendary wolven gauntlets

I have the issue currently.

It is impossible to craft superior legendary gloves even with console command.
