Better Witcher gear in NG+?
I've noticed in NG+ that most of the weapons and armor starting out are now much better than if you would do a first time playthru. I started NG+ with the mastercrafted wolven armor set and I found that many of the common weapons and armor are now better than my Witcher gear. I went to the armorer in Novigrad and he was selling one of the books that initiates a quest for the Griffin School gear, as well as one for the School of the Wolf. My current Witcher gear is pretty much at the bottom of the food chain, so does that mean if I do the chain of quests to find the diagrams all over again, will my NEW gear have much better armor/weapon stats than my current gear? Providing it's mastercrafted and from the same school.

not sure, but you should try.

I beleive that once you start NG+ all gear will have a "newer" level requirement, stats... etc.

So, yes you would get better witcher gear in NG+

yes. the viper school swords are now better and have a higher level requirement (yet still weaker than my feline swords)

iirc the normal witcher gear (all tiers) are replaced by a legendary variant. For example the mastercrafted ursine set becomes the legendary mastercrafted ursine set, enhanced griffin set becomes the legendary enhanced griffin set and so on and so forth. No cosmetic changes that I've noticed, just stat buffs.

you can get the legendary viper swords from white orchard quite early on, around lvl 36ish I believe,

basic legendary griffin gear starts at lvl 41
basic legendary feline gear starts at lvl 47
basic Legendary ursine starts at lvl 50 I think,
not sure about the wolf school gear tho.....

I just a little dissapointed that the sets are all copy/pastes of the vanilla game versions with buffed stats. Would have been nice if they were just a little different....

well the word legendary makes the armour sound more powerful
are their locations&map locations the same?

I think they are, but the level requirement/ enemies would just be harder lol

it will all just scale up, no texture changing. Shame that i cannot see the legendary gear that has wings and can spray fire.

everything is 30 levels higher than in PT1. and the stats are obviously better than the PT1 counterparts...

Can't wait until I complete 100% again on my current run so I can go back (after all expansion packs are 100%) and do it all again...
