Am I just missing something or is this a bug?

So I arrived at a previously unmarked village at an island in Skellige and notice an exclamation mark. I go to pick up the quest. It's Master of the Arena and after I talked to the villagers I get a yellow circle around the arena. I go there and I beat Ulle the Unlucky in battle. He disappears and then nothing happens. No quest progression. Just nothing. I looked around online, but everyone else who've had this quest seem to have had more steps than me. Something about mobs and a troll, I think I read... But all I get is Ulle the Unlucky and the prompt to "Find a way to send Ulle to the afterlife". Read somewhere that I should just let him beat me in battle, but since he doesn't show up again...

Help, guys?

He will appear again the next day. The quest will remain the same until you let him beat you. It's a nice little quest because Ulle is so nice when you send him off.

But I tried to meditate until the next day and he still didn't show :/

You can't always meditate to wait.

I had to leave the village, then come back in for it to update. I just walked out of the village.

I had to wait about a day and a half for him to reappear. Tried 24 hours, nothing; waited another couple of hours, nothing; waited another 3 or 4 hours, nothing; did it a few more times, and he appeared.

He appeared :) Now I'm just waiting for the other half of the quest to spawn >.<
