Where is the Dimeritium?
What is rumored to be the best source of Dimeritium for making ingots and plate?

It's pretty random honestly. You dismantle certain weapons to get the ore. When you raid the witchhunter hq in Novigrad with Triss and when you break Margarita out of prison in Oxenfurt later in the game, you can get a good number of dimeritum cuffs that you can dismantle.

Sounds legit^

It's not though. That gives you glowing ore.

Glowing ore is indirectly a component in making dimeritium ingots (glowing ore ingot is used for this, with dimeritium ore), and glowing ore isn't a common find. So he's not wrong, he never said "by dismantling dimeritium cuffs you get dimeritium".

Everything is an an indirect route to getting anything^
For the effort involved, you could say: "well pick up literally any item anywhere and convert it all into coin. Then you can turn the coin into the ingots you need"

Riiiiiiiiight. Can I make an iron ingot with the glowing ore? Maybe you can spin me gold out of straws? How about wine out of water?

At least know what you're talking about before bullshitting. We're talking about dimeritium, not theory of everything and anything, Socrates. Instead of answering the question, you're stating fallacies like "everything is an indirect way to anything". Not only that, you're dismissing legit answers without presenting facts to prove your point.

All the witcher gear I've made (and I've made all the sets, at least twice because of NG+), I haven't purchased a single dimeritium ingot. Aside from the ones I've looted, I've always crafted the rest from glowing ore ingots and dimeritium ore. 2 glowing ores make a glowing ore ingot, 1 glowing ore ingot and 1 dimeritium ore makes a dimeritium ingot. That's a fact. Now, if you don't you have something to prove that I'm wrong or even something that would answer the question helpfully, please shut your gob.

Two merchants in Skellige are mentioned that have dimeritium: one a stationary merchant in Kaer Trolde http://steamcommunity.com/app/292030/discussions/0/594820656464224115/ , the other a wandering merchant near Rogne village on the main island, here..

Hehehee :D
I've heard of people like you but wasn't sure they really existed. Well, call me a believer.
So, let me ask is it just on occasion, or do you roll around on the floor crying and screaming every time you get outwitted?
Also, how long into your teens did you still wet the bed more than 3 times a week?
We gonna be such good friends me and you^
Sleepovers and everything! (providing the bed wetting is not an ongoing issue)

Dunno why that guy is saying you should buy them. That's just 4ucking stupid o_0

Ok, verified. The wandering merchant near Rogne village has 5 Dimeritium ingots for sale, at around 1600gp each. Expensive.

He was actually on the road to the west of Rogne village, not the one that runs right through it but a few hundred units parallel to it, to the west. Close though.

I was on my way to Kaer Trolde next to find out which merchant has some, but I had to shut down for a little while and do some real world chores: change the oil in my truck, cook supper for the kids and then watch a movie (oh wait, that's for fun). Will check later when I get to play...

Also confirmed, the merchant standing down to the west near the end of the docks there in Kaer Trolde has basically the same stuff as the wandering merchant. Has 5 dimeritium ingots for sale as well, for 1389gp.

I think I just kept on buying 2-3 glowing ores and the other material that ultimately becomes Dimeritium from the armorers in Crow's Perch. Whenever I exit talking to them then access their shop again those materials refill, hehehe. Still took a while to complete materials for mastercrafted armor though.

On my last playthrough, I had 4 dimeritium plate before I had even reached the first tavern with Vesimir.
The ♥♥♥♥ was just lying in barrels next to burned houses and other assorted devestation along the path.
I thought the game had bugged out somehow. How am I finding one of the most top shelf crafting items more than once before I've even met my first blacksmith?
This was before any notion of NG+ too. Haven't tried that stuff yet.

The best part of it is, I don't even use witcher armor so I'm never going to need the stuff xD

I think I found alot early on too but soon realized it had no uses in the first half of my game so I sold it alot.
