Bug: Velen Quest lvl 8: The Shrieker.

Both before and after patch 1.07 I have been forced to give up on this quest because I can't get the monster out of his lair.

You're supposed to do this by thruwimg Grapeshot and/or Samum bombs at the wall behind which the shieker is "hidden".

You can easily hear him but not see him. I think you're supposed to throw the bombs from within the cave where his lair is visible. But you can also walk up on top of the hill in which the cave with his lair. There is a hole that you can thrown or drop the bombs ino.

And here's the problem: Ive tried throwing an unknown, but very large, number of both kinds of bombs onto his lair both from within the cave, standing right next to the laii and trying to put myself in any number of positions so that I shouldn't be able to somehow miss the position from which I can throw and hit his lair right where it should be,

I have done the sme from the top of the hill, standing right by the hole through the roof to the cave. The hole isn't big enough to climb or jump through.

Eventually, after trying for an hour or so and running out of some of the ingredients I needed to keep creating more bombs, I had to give up and left.

I hate to give up on quests in this way, but unless someone has, but in this case I saw no other way, and I'm very convinced that it's a bug.

Maybe others have had this experience as well - with the same quest, or maybe with different quest that had the same bug?

There is a ledge protruding from the wall - not very well visible in the video because she doesn't use cat or a torch.

He is on the ledge, clearly visible. Throw one bomb at him. Aim just above the ledge. Then the quest advances.
