Place of Power at Kaer Morhen.
I've watched two videos and read a couple of guides with pictures of where this Place of Power is located in the Kaer Morhen area, so I should have a pretty good idea about where to look.

The problem is that when I get near to the area where I should be looking for it, I keep getting "End of the world, turn back" msg.es.

Also, the location should be on top (or near the top) of the northernmost mountain in the area, but whenever I try to climb any of these areas I slide back down - or get the "end of thre world.." msg.es

Besides, the best picture of the location doesn't look like it's on top of a mountain but rather beyond and in continuation of where the lake ends and in between the two mountains.

Would there be someone who has a good screenshot or who can otherwise describe or show me where this Place of Power is?

I'd be real grateful as this is alledegedly the only time I get the chance to get this skill point as it's the only time you go to Kaer Morhen and you can't go there at will.

Thanks in advance.

P.S. ...Which brings up another bit: There's a lvl 26 quest here, but I've only just lvl 21. If the monster in this quest is a wyvern, I know I probably don't stand a chance, but most other creatures I can fight. So if someone has completed this quest I would be glad to know what type of monster this drowner killing beast is, and it's lvl along with your own - and possibly what tacts you used do defeat him/her.

Could you post a screenshot of the map where this POI is located? It's been a while since I've finished the game.

As for the drowner killing monster, it's a troll. Spells don't work well on troll, except Yrden and Quen. Don't use igni, aard or axii, igni barely damages trolls and elementals, aard and axii are a waste of stamina with trolls. So basically rely on your sword.

To reach that place of power, you'll have to enter a cave in the north of the lake, which leads you up the mountain.
But the easiest way is to do the quest with Lambert. Its last part is in that area and you almost can't miss the place of power.

Furthermore, what makes you think you can't return to the Kaer Morhen map? After you unlocked it during the storyline, you can always return by fast travelling there from any fast travel point.
