Nameless quest "kill the werewolf in the garden" bug.
I killed the werewolf in a shed in the garden then left and did other quests. When I returned I had to kill it again (without fighting this time) I completed the quest but returned to do "In wolf's clothing" This time I killed it in the cave but "kill the werewolf in the garden" was still displayed
as a task still to be completed. Because of this this quest remains incomplete and I do not gain experience points. Another bug?

The werewolf can't be killed by conventional needs. The curse won't it allow to die, it will come back from the death. You'll have to lift the curse. If you don't figure out the quest, find a tutorial online, it's not a big story line, so there are no major spoilers.

I think that's the same one that's "stuck" in my playthrough... I get the objective to "Talk to the Priestess of Melitele.." and there's no priestess at the quest marker to talk to. There are priestesses there, but none where that mark is, the others are just standing around a little ways off.

I don´t think it even gives many XP. Unfortunatedly the Gamefaqs FAQs simply don´t cover that quest.

In my case I gave the werewolf meat to him, the curse apparently was lifted, and I got a crappy reward at Freya´s temple. 84 crowns and 2 XP. Then "in Wolf´s Clothing" was completed.

Also to the guy 2 posts above... dude we all know Google exists. If he asked here was to get quick answer not to tell the obvious. If you don´t want to give real help, stay quiet.

It's not very helpful (or polite) to tell other people how to help. I pointed out that the OP probably did not encounter a bug or a glitch.

The OP literally asked 'Another bug?'. That question was answered.

Not everybody likes a quick answer on how to finish a quest.

I have returned twice more and killed the werewolf each time but "kill the werewolf" task location
marker shows that it is still in the garden when it is not.

He was looking for a quick answer, yes, but if he'd even tried to pay attention while doing the quest itself, he would have learned that it was a complex quest that needed additional information and further steps to be taken to ensure that the werewolf would be dead once and for all.

While it's nice to have fourms where you can ask such questions, it's rather incredible that in this day and age folks still find it easier to get other people to either tell them what to do or to look things up for them.

I get it how sometimes no amount of searching will help because the answer just isn't out there but this, this just isn't one of those times. A simple YouTube search would have given him a video walkthrough because somehow I doubt text instructions would have helped him much since he couldn't even be bothered to pay attention to the quest as he was playing it.

Sorry to be so curt and rude but seriously, sometimes it's difficult to be patient and understanding with such laziness.

I took your advice and watched a video, making notes as it went along. Back to the game I still
got nowhere. I watched the video again making more precise notes. Back to the game it did not play out according to the video as all chests were empty. I obviously collected everything during my previous attempts to complete this quest. Finally, I noted that specific werewolf meat had to be used to kill it. End of quest except to collect my reward. I did not at any stage get a hint that
this food had to be used. Previously I was feeding it with normal food. Without the video's help
I would never have known.

I didn't see a prompt either and just happened to notice the werewolf flesh in my inventory and decided to try it. Think there might have been a prompt that came up on screen about it in the dialogue choices. Either way, I don't think it conveyed enough information for me to actually know what to do in that quest and I just had to luck up and guess what I was supposed to do. And I don't skip dialogue in games unless it's a sequence I just played recently and know what's coming. So, I don't think it was detailed enough for players to know what to do.

I now realize the importance of following the dialogue especially in identifying the type of beast
to prepare for the confrontation.

Besides giving him the meat you can also talk to one of his former henchman at the port side he will give you a fang to put on the werewolf so that you can remove the curse. But you way is certainly more time consuming. :)

After killing the werewolf I had to go straight for my reward. I believe I met up and killed his henchmen some time ago.

I can only add that it is very important to listen carfully to what people tell you, read all the papers you find at the location carfully and take an look at your bestiary (because there is an discription of Morkvarg in there).

I have seen some of those problems of people missing LOTS of things in some play-trough's. They running all the time without noticing important clues, persons or notes/objects, and then asking themselves "what the hell is happening". The answer is allways there, but only if you keep paying attention, and do not rush. Trying to finish the game in the shortest time possible (or - even worst - speedrunning) almost guarantees you miss an LOT of funny, heartbreaking, interesting and usable notices/situations/objects. Example: most times conversations in small villages (and even bigger locations like towns) can give an insight of what is going on over there, and why people are reacting like they do. Admitted - there are also an lot of repetative conversations, but they are "filtered out" fairly easy...

♥♥♥♥♥♥ quest. In the dialogue options you can select feed him then feed him his own flesh to complete the quest.

it should be obvious, since killing him drop a quest item that resemble meat. And suspiciously this is the only quest you require to choose an item to feed him.
