In my case I gave the werewolf meat to him, the curse apparently was lifted, and I got a crappy reward at Freya´s temple. 84 crowns and 2 XP. Then "in Wolf´s Clothing" was completed.
Also to the guy 2 posts above... dude we all know Google exists. If he asked here was to get quick answer not to tell the obvious. If you don´t want to give real help, stay quiet.
It's not very helpful (or polite) to tell other people how to help. I pointed out that the OP probably did not encounter a bug or a glitch.
The OP literally asked 'Another bug?'. That question was answered.
Not everybody likes a quick answer on how to finish a quest.
marker shows that it is still in the garden when it is not.
I took your advice and watched a video, making notes as it went along. Back to the game I still
got nowhere. I watched the video again making more precise notes. Back to the game it did not play out according to the video as all chests were empty. I obviously collected everything during my previous attempts to complete this quest. Finally, I noted that specific werewolf meat had to be used to kill it. End of quest except to collect my reward. I did not at any stage get a hint that
this food had to be used. Previously I was feeding it with normal food. Without the video's help
I would never have known.
I now realize the importance of following the dialogue especially in identifying the type of beast
to prepare for the confrontation.
After killing the werewolf I had to go straight for my reward. I believe I met up and killed his henchmen some time ago.
I have seen some of those problems of people missing LOTS of things in some play-trough's. They running all the time without noticing important clues, persons or notes/objects, and then asking themselves "what the hell is happening". The answer is allways there, but only if you keep paying attention, and do not rush. Trying to finish the game in the shortest time possible (or - even worst - speedrunning) almost guarantees you miss an LOT of funny, heartbreaking, interesting and usable notices/situations/objects. Example: most times conversations in small villages (and even bigger locations like towns) can give an insight of what is going on over there, and why people are reacting like they do. Admitted - there are also an lot of repetative conversations, but they are "filtered out" fairly easy...
you do've other options to finish quest though.
yeah.... I got carried away by yennifer everytime im going through this quest line. The first time i gone through this i have to go back and finish the werewolf personally, and having the freya worshipers looking hostile towards me.
