Bug in quest: Find out if Avalach is hiding something.

There is no marker for where to go to complete this quest. I found out by watching a video by someone who was playing on Xbox1.

Try talking to Avallac'h and then to Yen to trigger it. It may make the quest marker appear.

Actually I did try to talk to Avalac'h but it led nowhere, so I went to Youtube and watched a couple of video walkthroughs, and in one of them the player showed us the location and it's position in regard to the start point at the Kaer Trolde docks. So I went to the place right away and walked straight into his laboratory where Ciri and Yennefer waited, and from then and onwards everything worked perfectly.

But thatnks for the info. So it wasn't a bug after all, then, good to know. These days you never know with this game.

Chances are you did not finish the quest: "Child of the elder blood" where one of its tasks is "Find out if Avalac'h's hiding something".
Try it. It will lead you to the "Pali gap coast", the western island at "The Skellige Isles"
