The "crime" was that of her ancestor, Lara Doren, from whom she inherited her Elder Blood. Lara Doren was an Aen Elle elf but she chose to abandon her people when she fell in love with a human. The elves then saw her as a traitor because they were conquerors who felt themselves above humans and had nothing but contempt for them.

Eredin and Avallac'h once possess the power to control both time and space, that same power that Ciri now possesses. They want that power back. Since theirs was dying, they devised a plan to find Lara Doren's descendant and use her, meaning Ciri. Their idea was to have her have a child with their king, Auberon. Only Auberon couldn't conceive a child with her, despite trying numerous times.

However during this time, Ciri had met Eredin, leader of the Red Riders of the Wild Hunt and was taken with him, meaning she was attracted to him. Sensing this, he used her for his own purposes. Avallac'h had planned to keep her there until she had the child but Eredin told her that he had lied to her, that he never intended to let her go.

Meanwhile, seeing that the king couldn't produce a child, he told him that he knew of a potion that might help. He also told Ciri the truth about Avallac'h, to gain her trust. Then instead of that potion, he gave the king poison.

It's reference to her relationship with Mistle, and is referenced further if you take off Ciri's towel, which reveals the matching tattoo she got with her on her inner left thigh.

You can take it as sarcasm, you can take it that she's bi, or you can take it that she's straight. It's your choice. There's no official canon sexuality to her.
