Valuable Fossil actually valuable?

So I have 2 of them and despite the name I have a feeling it is a ruse. Do any of you know if there is any place to sell them for decent cashmoney? pic related

That's an easter egg/joke by the devs. When you find it you're like WOAH! And then you go to sell it and get 100% dissapointment.

On the plus side, leather/hides are fairly valuable and common.
