Maybe it's that
he rattled the pots. But this did not happen for me.
He sleeps, no problem, but when the pots wake him up he still won't talk.
I meditated till midnight. He was asleep. The pots were red in sense mode but I couldn't interact with them in any way in either mode. Couldn't aard or hit or crossbow them either.
Now i've meditated to the same time and every single other hour and he won't sleep again.
Another failure by Projekt
I will say this though. Every time I get some reply on some forum on any site from a legacy post of mine regarding W3, it ignites my nostalgia so much I feel like just starting over and playing it again.
But I have Blood and Wine to play now :)
Off to solve some math and physics problems and then install it.
It appears that standing close to the area he's sitting/sleeping in is counterproductive. Instead, between the steps stand some distance away to observe what he's currently doing.
Standing in front of the fire: Extinguish it
Sitting for prayer: Give him some Wasps
Trying to sleep: Pots to the rescue!
That'll piss off anyone.
Whatever you posted it under.. it didn't make the front page :(
I've fabricated posts that made it on the top page in /r/iamverysmart before.
I guess my vastly superior intelligence enabled that.
After all, I do watch Rick and Morty.
I tried a number of things like applying the shocks in a different order, etc. but always weren't able to use the Aard signs on the pots. I think what made me succeed eventually is to use a specific angle on the pots. Perhaps they needed to be aligned with the druid to become "attackable".
So apparently you are supposed to scare him if he is doing certain things. You do not necessarily need to wait for him to fall asleep. If he is warming himself by the fire, you are supposed to walk up to his fire & extinguish it. If he is sleeping, then use Aard on the pots & pans. If he is sitting on a rock, use Aard on the bees nest next to him. You may not have to do all 3 of these. Example: Woke him up while he was sleeping, used Aard on bees nest since he sat on rock, then he went to sleep again so woke him up again & got my 3/3 scares done.
In my game, I spoke to him around 2:30am. I just stood like 10 ft. from him & waited because I thought I HAD to wait for him to fall asleep. Within 5 minutes after talking to him, he went to sleep.
Note that you don't receive an interact option with the pots & pans nor can you punch or hit them with your sword; you must use Aard on them.
Someone mentioned that they could not get the pots to work with Aard & felt they needed to hit them at a certain angle. I was able to hit mine in one shot by facing them to where the lower rack of pots is closest to me & the higher rack of pots are in the back behind the lower level.
