are you referring to the mountains in the rainstorm & fog not drawing instantaneously ? have you tried this during clear weather?

I am referring to the house with the chimney.

I've seen this happen on numerous structures. it has to do with the atmospheric lighting/shaders. try it during the day, under clear weather, and it will be just fine.

I never spent too much time tinkering with the video settings on both my video card and game settings (I just get everything on high), but I'm sure someone out there will chime in on adjustments.

Yes, it can only do so much with the ingame settings, try this mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/949

My graphics becomes better when I'm not running it through Steam.
Try to start it from the exe where the game is located.

Steam has to be closed.

That Mod does increases the Draw Distance, BUT for some reason it has glitches where sometimes buildings disappear entirely. They are there, the game just doesn't draw them.

I'd suggest one of the tweak mods, with newer hardware compared to what was available in 2015 the draw distance and graphics are better.

Game has had this from the start. You can go to your ini files and change the draw distance there manualy. That fixed it for me.

Or you can wait for the next-gen upgrade that you will get for free that comes later this year. That wil hopefully fix this problem.

LOD in w3 is horrible by default no matter what. Can be improved by mods but not alot.

I wonder if the enhanced edition will keep my current saves.

The problem is clearly outlined in the title and in the subsequent video.

the house in the video in particular has more obvious and awful lod transition than usual, though.

I am running on max settings, I don't understand why it's so bad.

Try to play around with post processing settings

You can add more pre-rendered frames to play with in Nvidia Profile Inspector and see if it makes any difference. Its related to post processing too. Think 3 is what most games used before Nvidia changed it. Its useful when there is lots of shimmering going on and wish to improve things like graphic quality and AA in games.
