Replay: Ghost Mode vs. W3EE vs. ESR Overhaul mods...
Has anyone tried all three of these? Just curious to get subjective opinions and what you were looking for in an overhaul mod, whether they deliver on their promises etc.

Thanks.

Ghost Mode and Enhanced Edition are by far the most polished and well developed ones on the nexus. Wouldn't go for FCR3 or anything else. You can trust they deliver on their promises. GM for vanilla-like experience, w3ee for non vanilla-like experience. W3EE is considered the more hardcore version of w3.

In this game the movement is clunky, the combat is boring and repetitive, and the camera is borderline Mario 64 levels of awful. Mods can fix a good number of the QoL issues, but I can't in good conscience recommend a game that needs mods to fix/allow basic things (I.E jumping in water, zooming the camera, etc).

Lmaooooooooo you just copy pasted a negative review off of the store page, you sir are truly pathetic, trying to trash talk a game but can't even come up with arguments on your own.

Why did you even post here?

This is true. The game is nowhere near rpg like witcher 2 or witcher 1. Its only good storywise. Rpg part of this game is really bad.

You obviously have a strong opinion, but respectfully disagree with my own opinion, W1 combat even with the CDPR employee enhancement patch is just so abstract and unless you have fond memories the graphics were poor even at the time of release. Enjoyed playing W2 years ago and from memory the game mechanics were not that different from W3, but the environment and story is definitely on rails big time. I felt claustrophobic playing them.

Also point out the thread derail from post two onwards. Nice job troll.

Trying to be as rude as possible towards people on internet because you cant do that in real life due to lack of balls? No wonder you get so toxic on internet.
Figures.... The internet is full of people like you. Go outside and try to act like that there. You going to get your face crashed.

So, I decide to "respectfully disagree" provide reasons for my opinion (here and in other thread), and all of a sudden I'm "rude" and "toxic". You were the one who started this off by calling me "closed minded", somebody called you out for that, and you 'sort of' apologized in your own way...

You need to work on your thought processes before posting and severely embarrassing yourself... But, that would be just IMHO...

Oh, and my bad, it was three posts where the derail happened. I gave him opportunity to explain the confusing post that really had nothing to do with thread topic other than mods involved. It was meant to troll. Others replied to him/her/it, I left it at that.

I drop the game near the end despide the wonderfull story because combat was a QUEN+DODGE+SPAM light attack repetitive drama.

I'm a big fan. Played W1 and 2, read all book long ago.... but this gameplay is just trash broh. (even on highest difficult)

I promise i'll end this game with a mod in the future but after 5 years i loose the will to start new game.

Vanilla w3 works just fine as it is (many people who play vanilla don't quite complain). It's just very flawed, which GM fixes.
Bandy (Banned) Jul 19, 2020 @ 9:09am
Just FYI, please do not confuse my OP with a question involving vanilla game play, I'm past that and wanted to replay with a refreshed experience, explore all those quests I never did etc...

And yes, once you figure out an 'exploit' such as quen/dodge/spam light attack, it's up to you as a player to refrain from doing it if it ruins your fun. Just saying, we've all run up against that in most games.
CasualGamer Jul 19, 2020 @ 9:31am
I vouch for w3ee. It brings the rpg part back and exploration is fun now.

Imo w3 is a great game but is short on the rpg part.
W1 is the best rpg in the series and this I am saying when I played w1 after I played w3.
And yes, I know the sword play in w1 is qte mostly.
