Can I download Witcher 3 game to xbox one when its purchased through steam?
I'm investing in an xbox one here pretty soon (investing as in SANTA is leaving it for me, duhh) and I would love to play The Wtcher 3 (which I purchased through steam) on it because my computer can no longer handle the intense graphics of the game. Am I stuck? I mean I did spend $60 on the game...I should not have to buy it again for xbox one. Can the company do anything about this? Feedback plzzzzz

No, this is not a cross-platform game. Even if you somehow manage to stream it to the XB1 with Windows 10 you'll still need the computer to run it.
So the company probably won't do anything if i contacted them? I'd just have to buy it again for xbox one?

Correct. You would need to buy the XBone version. Buying a game doesn't grant you a license to play that game on any supported platform, unless stated specificaly, ie Steamplay. Part of this reason is license/contracts obligations and stipulations with the console makers.

No, Microsoft has Xbox One streaming to your Windows 10 PC, and they might add streaming your PC games to your X1 (don't know how that will work TBH).

It's kinda a dilemma for Microsoft. On one hand it wants Windows to continue to dominate the PC market, and the truth is PC gamers are a great help to the cause. Meanwhile on the other hand it also wants XB1 to sell good, but for obvious reasons die hard PC games simply hate consoles.

I bet the streaming service(currently from XB1 to PC through W10) is one of the biggest compromises Microsoft is forced to make in the company's history. Cuz truth be told, it definitely prays for one platform/OS to dominate the crap outta everything.

Thing is though I am as close as you could come to a "die hard PC gamer". I don't own a console and I have been gaming since the early 90's and honestly I like consoles and console games because some of the games are really fun to play if the port is done well.

So when it comes right down to it without the console market that game likely never would have even been made so even if you don't play games on a console as a gamer you MUST like them or you must be a bit daft for not liking them.

Lol I ended up owning 3 copies of GTA V (XB360 when first came out, XBONE as part of a packaged deal with console + other games, and finally on PC @ 60FPS 1440P whichc is so much better...)
