NO Dialogue options... EVER! Why?!

Hey guys and girls,

After lots of searching and googling I have come up empty.

Any conversation I enter into results in me having NO options, not even when I press random buttons (1,2,3 etc.)

I can't figure out why its happening and has completely halted my pregression. Still havnt had a chance to play Hearts of Stone.

I've already varified game cache and also deleted local content and re downloaded.

So confused because as far as I can find, I'm the only one experiencing this problem.

I need to clarify, this is NOT the HUD bug, I have no dialogue options even when the HUD is displayed.

Any help or even confirmation that I'm not the only one would be much appreciated!

*I've just removed all DLC and started a new game, bug still persists.

I have the same problem. Feels like I've searched the whole internet, but seemed like NO ONE had the same problem. I was really looking forward to play this game, but I have only played the game for 1 hour before the problems started. And the game just isnt as fun without the dialogue options...

I had some problems from the start, as there were something wrong with the graphics. The bright colors just flickered all the time, and I felt like a seisure were closing in. Tried to fix this in the options meny of the game, but nothing worked. I then remembered that there were probably a while since I upgraded my graphics driver. Before I upgraded the driver, I had no problems with the dialogue and subtitles.

Im really not an expert when it comes to computer stuff, but: I have a GeForce GTX 750 Ti. The driver version I downloaded is the latest one: 359.06.

Now, the new driver fixed the problem with the flickering bright colors. But this is where the problem with no dialogue options started. I also couldn't see any subtitles, even though the subtitles options were turned on in the menu.

Have you experienced something similar? I'm just trying to get to the bottom of this. Being that uninstalling (and deleting all data) and reinstalling the game (and starting a new game) doesent work, I would quess the problem is elsewhere. But honestly I have no idea...

Hey bro!

If you're having the same problem as me you might also find that the radial menu doesn't appear.

However I fixed it myself, it wasn't until I'd re-installed Windows (that's how much I love this game) that I knew where the problem was.

Navigate to your documents folder where your savegames are kept.
c:\Users\"your username"\Documents\The Witcher 3

Rename it so that the game can't find that folder and is forced to remake them. Start a new game just to confirm it fixed the problem, you should also get the "Welcome to the witcher" splash screens and if you have HoS installed you'll get that pop up when you open the game. These things will let you know that the game has remade the bugged files.

This should fix your problem but wait... Where did your saves go!? Never fear.

Simply head to that directory that you renamed, copy the most recent save (both files, there will be a picture file and a blank icon both of the same name) and the paste it into the new savegame location. Restart/Start the game and you should be back to slaying deamons and bedding damsels!

Havent had time to try to make the game work since I first posted, but after christmas I'm gonna give it another try ;)

I'm having the exact same problem. Don't worry, you are not alone. I tried everything from new keyboards and controllers to deleting the entire game and updating everything. I still can't get the radial Quick Access Menu to open or read the dialogue options during conversations. I am nearly about to ask for a refund because the game is unplayable.

I will in the next hour or so. I decided to delete and reinstall the game again just to be sure. I will reply as soon as I have tried it. I hope that works.

That may not work because it doesn't delete your witcher 3 folder in documents, which that seems to be the biggest issue, something inside there causing the issues.

I tried the suggested fix which didn't work. I even uninstalled and redownloaded again to be sure. I renamed the file as well as deleting it too. Upon starting a new game I still can't see the dialogue options or access the powers menu.
