Invisible textures and an invisible Geralt. (Solved)
After launching the game and getting past the beginning cutscenes for the very first time, I'm faced with a major problem: everything is invisible, even Geralt. Here's a screenshot of what my game looks like:

Is there a fix?

Extra:
I'm using a r9 270x 4gb with the latest drivers.

I've tried verifying game files (checked out fine, but problem still persists).

Edit:
Thunderparty's solution worked. (Check below.)

k, so yeah I had this problem too just recently and I’m pretty sure this is the solution (or it worked for me anyways after trying 4 re installs and 10 verify game cache to no avail), when you delete local game content steam leaves behind two files (content 0 and patch 0) if you delete these two files it should re-download them correctly next time you reinstall the game *haven't tested yet but you may just be able to delete these two files and then verify game integrity, would suggest trying that before deleating the entire game*

Thank you very much, I will update my post after the download finishes with details of whether your solution worked or not. :)

Same exact problem too. AMD GPU users are facing this problem mostly. I would like to know if Thunderparty's solution works.

Worked for me too. Had to download 6.9g but better than the whole game. Thumbs up Thunderparty

I know this thread is old but just wanted to say I did not have to reinstall the game to get this to work. I just moved the patch 0 and content 0 files to desktop, attempted to launch the game, task manager close the game, put the files back in and then launch again. Mind you I have to reload to get the changes I want, not sure if that is needed for others.

Thanks! I'm sure this will save someone else a ton of time.

see the above quote.
so you can go to properties of the game and then to local files.
