Brothers in arms - Skellige bug
Hi guys,

So I am going through the main quests of the game and I reached the point where I need to ask Crach in Skelligge for help. There was this bear attack in the main hall, and after I dealt with the bears, I went to talk to Crach, he refused to send troops but gave me the sword. Anyway, on my way to "Talk to Emrion" I found out that I can't continue, because the metal grid gate leading to the bridge won't open. Tried to talk to everybody, but the gate stays locked?

Anyone can advise on if that's a bug or there is a lever or something that opens it?

Aren't you supposed to talk to either Cerys or Hjalmar first? that's what you have to do after the bear assault.

I tried talking to them, but conversation won't start. ANd I have as a subquest "Help resolve the matter of the succession..." but the quest objective is located at some place along the island and the gate to the bridge remains locked, so I cant reach it anyway.

Well, what you have to do right now is resolve the matter of the bears, as far as I recall you can't walk away from Kaer Trolde until you support either Hjalmar or Cerys, and to do so you have to examine the bears and the whole scene yourself first.

I needed to do I side quest there in order the gate to be open, as you guys properly directed me. Thanks for your help.
