What is difference between Geralts movement?
What is difference between standard and alternative movement? I am not sure which one is better

Alternative mode was added for those who were against the vanilla type of movement. Basically, Geralt is a bit sluggish and has a momentum when he moves. If you release a button while moving for example, the momentum will carry him for 2 extra steps lets say.

The Alternate mode simply removes this momentum, making him more responsive in movement. Similar to World Of Warcraft movement if you ever played that. By using the alternate mode, he simply stops the moment you get your finger of the WASD buttons.

I personally have it at vanilla, feels like he has weight.

So classic one is more realistic? Thats all I need for keep classic :) Yeah exactly I want "feel" the movement..
But it does make movement in certain situations very frustrating (and unrealistic as humans can stop very short when they want to).
Great info thank you all! :)

Geralt is a non-human thanks to all his mutations. Should we really expect him to move like a normal human?

I would expect his movements to be more responsive than a normal human, not less.

All I know is I couldn't get him to stop running in circles with the alternate movement.

I think his mutations would make he move more accurately, as his metabolism is fast so he can think and move more fast and precise.

Yes, he's so precise especially around candles and ladders. :D
