I won't even play without that one, and I've gotten damn near dependent on the mods that remove all the slow-motion cheese.
Starting from how models look:
- Real Witcher Eyes and tons of changes to make Geralt look more immersive and dark
- MKM Yennefer beauty face and big breasts and ass (very important ^^)
Tons of QoL mods like:
NPC script fixes, Achievement progress tracker, Always full xp (goty), Autoapply oils, Autopickup, Better trophies, Fast travel from Anywhere, Lamp on players boat, Over 9000 weight limit, Reduced fall damage..
You really are only limited by your imagination. Some of the QoL mods may be a little overkill, but if you are not running the game for the first time and want to smooth the process I would suggest those. If you have trouble with running some older and not updated mods, I suggest switching to 'classic' version, which doesn't have any of the latest problems, runs like a charm and supports all older mods. Install them via Nexus and enjoy.
Note: Auto apply oils has been incorporated into the game by CDPR as have a large number of other mods with the 4.0 release. See the release notes:
https://www.thewitcher.com/us/en/news/47105/next-gen-update-list-of-changes
I use a few of the ones you mentioned, mostly QoL mods
Note: I tried to use it, but a lot of older mods won't work. People are not insane enough to keep updating after 2016-2018.
We already had improved graphics. Now it's official? Cool. So I am missing one side quest for Renard basically and at least 1h+ of hassle to maybe set it up but NOT with all the mods I want and already work.
No thanks.
Look for Next Gen when on Nexus, there are a lot of mods that have been updated or newly made/released for the 4.00 update.
Its perfectly fine not to play with mods too, of course :)
