DMC 5 or One of the best game ever? Ofc the Witcher 3. But better start from First one or at least from the Witcher 2 to understand some things better.

If you love action and combat mastery, go with DMC 5.
If you value storytelling, exploration, and role-playing, pick The Witcher 3.
Both are fantastic, so you can’t go wrong! 😄

Both are amazing, but Witcher is better if you like exploring and good storytelling. DMC is better, if you love ass pain.
DMC 5 for the gameplay, Witcher 3 for the story. Just get both ;-)

DMC 5 is non-stop hack and slash. It gives you some options in replayability, since you can play with more than one characters and it's fun doing challenges to unlock stuff. Witcher 3 has TONS of quests and customization options, making it one of, if not the, biggest RPGs out there. If anything, W3 is a huge value for money, since it has immense replayability; there's a reason there are so many people with hundreds of hours on it. I'd go with W3 but it all comes down to personal preference and gaming style.
How are these games even comparable? One is a character action game with deep combat mechanics and the other mainly story driven.
Both are very good at what they do, but you must know what you're looking for. If you want a challange and practicing jump cancels to bring up your style meter go for DMC. If you want to relax while watching cutscenes and dialogues go for W3.

DMC 5 is a good game, but it feels really short.. If you want a game to really spend time in, Witcher 3 is the way to go. The amount of side-quests, contracts, and the good story quest makes you wanna go for it more and more, and if the budget allows you, go for the DLC's as well (Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine) cause they also add lots of new content and more hours to invest in, and some quests are just hilarious. As a game itself? both are good, but as in content and hours to spend in? Definitely Witcher 3
