Why I cant get the achievement for killing 20 cows???

Where are you killing the cows? I don't remember if it makes a difference, but the cows in the NE part of Novigrad (area added by Hearts of Stone) definitely count towards the achievement.

I also believe how you kill them matters: swords definitely work. Signs I don't remember about. Punching I think does not work.

There are threads about the achievement around the internet; many have had trouble getting it to trigger.

I was killing in many places because IT wasnt working

Because cows you thought you killed only pretented they re dead.
After you left the area they were all fine.

went to feuille's farmstead, got out my steel sword, killed 10 cows,
slept 24 hours, killed 10 more with steel sword and
got the moo-rderer achievement. still appears to be working.

perhaps a game logic error. try an older save then go to the farm, get the achievement, then play your current save.

It works in classic version as well. I just got it. Next time use swords ^^
