since i know it, i alltime start witcher 3 over over steam, that i can see, how much i played^^
but sometimes, when i played offline and had like 100h and then i start the game when im online, then sometimes some hours missed and show in steam like 96h ;s
When you say offline you mean going to the top left menu > Steam > Go offline > Restart in offline mode? because if by offline you mean switching to "offline" on the friends tab, steam will be still connected to its servers.
I'm wondering because I know how many hours the game takes, so I like to know how much left of the game.
No reason to be stupid. Jeez.
Steam may not track your play time. But the game does. If you go into the options? I believe you can find total playtime for that save file. Can't really recall exactly where it is but if you do some digging im sure you can find it. It lists your playtime in days instead of hours. I have the GOG version of Witcher 3 and ran it through steam. The game told me I had 250+ hours in it. XD. Hope this helps.
But your overall playtime will vary depending on how many optional sidequests you do. I will say that you can expect the main story to take anywhere from 30-40 hours to complete. And I believe that number may be lowballing it a bit.
You helped me a lot! Totally forgot the save file thing. I calculated the playtime by summing, since it doesn't really say how long I played just the hours (am/pm), but it's enough to know.
My friend did almost everything and have 200+, so I'm thinking that I'll get something close to that since I'm trying to do all side quests and contracts. I'm just skipping some treasure hunts because the mayority seems so useless.
Do you know if after the main quest is all done, can you get to still be playing, or it's just over? I guess Witcher 2 was like this, you couldn't continue exploring after ending all the main quest. I really want to comeplete it 100% some day, but the main story is so interesting I just don't wanna wait to find out every "?" of the game XD
Exploration, treasure hunts, monster contracts still available after main story's over. (And most of those '?' in Skellige just loot lying out there).
Yay, that's nice to hear. Thank you!
