You won't get any "correct" answer. It all depends on whom you believe. Neither side super convincing. You have Lambert's word who's impulsive bastard but honestly hard to believe he'd pull out of his ass complete Aiden story so there must be something to it. OTOH he wasn't there when he died. Then there's Karadin. Kids and wife clearly there plus you read letter he wrote to Hammond. Change of life probably real. Did he kill Aiden? He says it was accident. Choose whomever you want to believe and/or base it on whatever morality you follow. FYI I spared him (already had to kill far too many people to get up to that point in quest because ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Lambert and stupid game doesn't let you just retreat/run away if there're doors to open) .

It's bit like that quick encounter with 3 elves and a human except more personal.

Actually for me decision would've been much more interesting if he said yes he'd killed Aiden but now he deeply regrets that like all other murders for hire in his past and we could've done it at various levels like ordered him to be killed, did it himself, even tortured him and so on. Wonder at what point I'd have said ♥♥♥♥ kids and wife you deserve it.

Haha btw there's third option by not finishing quest you leave it undecided :) Actually what does Lambert do in that case? Will he be in Kaer Morhen? Will he ♥♥♥♥♥ at you there?
