It should be called a fix for specific groups who experienced bugs before. Anw my error is this:

Error [modunlimiteddurability]game\components\inventorycomponent.ws(499): Native function 'GetItemsIds' cannot have script code.

even after uninstallation and reinstallation the error is the same

Get Script Merger[www.nexusmods.com] the manual version, not the NMM one, and then open it, click refresh above conflicts and 1 or more files should pop up ready to be merged. Click merge files and it should merge them. If it doesn't merge all it will give you an error and you will need to merge them yourself. Follow this video for a more detailed explanation.

ok ty.

got:

HDReworkedProject and ToxiciyCleanFaceAndScreen mod. they seem to work both, because they were loaded without a script bar, the game just starts.

-

had mod: "over9000 weight mod". but it seems not to Change the weight Limit anymore in 1.12. so i switched it versus: InfiniteCarryMod.

"InfiniteCarryMod" and "AlwaysFullExpMod" do make the script Errors.

if i put them into the Folder it becomes a script loadscreen before the game starts, then the error Pops up.

I checked AlwaysFullExp and InfiniteCarry and they both work for me.
So it seems there is another problem.

Have you tried to run a cache verification on the game?

sended you a steam friend request. there we can talk.

I used script merger already but no conflicts were shown at all so I don't know how I can merge any of there isn't a conflict in the first place. I'm so depressed by my inability to start witcher 3 ( I only have 2 days a week to touch the game omfggggg ) :/

for all with script Errors. this works:

https://www.reddit.com/r/witcher3mods/comments/3h44vx/for_anybody_having_script_compiler_errors_using/

after many other tries, this worked perfectly for me and it's simple.

it is the same soloution, that already worked in 1.10 for me, but this time you Need to Change one line in the file, on the top.

1.12 changed something to the Startup.

No one seemed to write anything after this as everyone probably up and left to play. This is the first time I ever respond to a discussion but really wanted to say thanks for the link. It works with 1.12 if you follow further instructions below the text.

I had a problem with "friendly hud" if anyone has that. I appears as though text in the WS file was still there even after I deactivated it in nexus mod manager. Which I assume means the new patch merged with the already modded file. The content0 failed to find the text "Addoilbuff" and "Removeoilbuff". Looked a lot like many of the problems others seem to have in this discussion.

What I did was a simple shot in the dark fix that seemed work.
first look and see what MOD is failing to launch. Use "script merger" from mod nexus to see if you can root out the problem that way. they have details on how to use it on the mod nexus page.

Warning you may seriously F up your game and have to reinstall if you use this quick fix:

If you cant fix the mod with "script merger" and have uninstalled the problem mod and still have problems like Content0 or other content ws files not working, copy the text (in my case "Addoilbuff" was the problem) and go to your ws file. It basically lists the path.

Steam\steamapps\common\The Witcher 3\content\content0\scripts\game\player

1. Save a copy of the WS files before you start in a folder outside the steam witcher 3 folder.

2. Open the problem WS file (mine was playerwitcher.ws) and use the find tool to find the abandoned text.

3. Delete the whole line. save and exit. Or find the new text the update uses and replace it.

worth a shot. you can always reinstall. I am missing the oil marker on my HUD but who cares!?! At least i don't have to ♥♥♥♥ around with it anymore.

Thanks, Elder of Black, this actually worked for me and I'm able to play again!

you need to use script merger to get rid of these issues. go to the nexus mod page and download the latest script merger. good luck
