How can I unlock leader cards in gwent?

You win them by playing opponents in the Gwent quests as the game progresses. You should buy every Gwent card you see on sale to improve your decks. You ahould also play every shopkeaper, blacksmith etc until you beat them once - each will give you one decent card (but not leader card) when you first beat them. Start small, build up, takes time.

Thanks for the info. Thought I'd missed the Foltest card after finishing White Orchard but fortunately the trader by the White Orchard waypost has it after Vizima! Just a heads up for any Gwent completionists!
