That's why I'm asking for other's opinions so that it could help me decide.
I recommend you The Witcher but Dying Light isn't bad though. You can google about these games if you want to know more about each one. But i'll recommend you The Witcher 3 AGAIN because it's really but really cheap in these sales and it won't be cheaper till like 6 months or more (i think that this is the highest disscount that The Witcher 3 had till now)
And do I still need to finish the first games first to get some things about the story of the 3rd game?
Oddly enough in my region, the trilogy is cheaper than the 3rd game alone.
Love this game.
Ps. do your research if you can play these games you have the internet, you sound like a kid or a troll.
The Witcher 3:
The Witcher 3 has Skill Levels customizations that are abilities that you can level up, you can for example: Do a sign build, an alchemy build, a sword and sign build or what you want. You'll play as Geralt Of Rivia, so you can't customize his face or his body but you can wear the armor that you want, there's:
Light Armor - Very good for sign builds because you'll recharge stamina faster
Medium Armor - Has a good amount of protection and your stamina recharge rate is still good but not has fast as the light armor
Heavy Armor - It has a slow stamina recharge rate but it protects you the most
The Witcher 3 has 70 levels (Levels of the character) and each time you level up you can customize your character's skill (Like for example: Fast Attacks deal 0.5 more damage and recharge's stamina 0.5 faster) It's pretty hard to get to level 70 so that's why there's NG+. NG+ its that you can start the game again but with the level you finished it and with your sword, armor, level and do other choices/romances.
There are mods in the witcher 3, but there's no workshop. I didn't download any mod because i don't like to play a game with mods that can alterate the Story, level customization or things like that so i don't know much about this topic but there are mods that you can download in web pages (i dont remember the web page, i'll try to find it)
The world of The Witcher 3... this is just... wow. The world of The Witcher 3 is GIANT! there are 3 Maps: White Orchard, Velen that's linked with Novigrad and Ard Skellig. The cities are beautiful! In The Witcher 3 world there are bars (better known as "Innkeeps") Merchants, Traders, Herbalists and a LOT more of things. And the story its amazing :) And there are lots of things to do in The Witcher 3 map, go to villages, discover Place of powers, play Gwent (a cards game really really good) with people (Merchants, Blacksmiths, Traders, Herbalists, etc) There are A LOT of monsters: Ghouls, nekkers, wraiths, noonwraiths, nightwraits, griffin's, bears, wolfs, drowners, endrega's, etc etc etc (just naming a few and the most common one's wich you'll meet pretty soon in the game, there are a lot more but i don't want to spoil you but for example: Vampires, Wyverns, Cyclops, etc etc etc.
Dying Light:
In Dying Light there are only 24 levels in Dying Light (exept for Survivor Level, 25 is the max for that tree) There are 3 level tree's:
1 - Survivor: Let's you gain skills about the world like trap cars, better prices, etc.
2 - Agility: It upgrades your parkour and let's you for example do a flying kick to a zombie or things like that.
3: - Power: It's about combat, gain more resistance, step in the zombie's head when he falls to the ground, etc
Now for mods: In this case Dying Light has a workshop. But the bad thing is that its only about custom maps and nothing more :( i didn't try any so i can't tell you too much about them.
Dying Light world: Dying Light has only one map, so only one place where you'll be it's big but doesn't even compare to The Witcher 3 map. There aren't many things to do, mainly just liberate zombie infested Safe Houses or some places with peopke that need help in a quest. But it's mainly parkour throw the city killing zombies and helping people you find out there. There's a Tower in Dying Light, pretty much your home with a lot of people where there are mercants etc. At 20:30 PM (or somewhere near that hour, i don't remember it too much xd) Starts the night... the nightmare to all the low level player and the scariest time... In the night there is a Special zombie called "Volatile" wich is incredibly powerfull if you don't have good weapons or are a good level. They are almost every time in groups (so its pretty hard to fight them) But you'll manage when you finish the game or so. You can still play it after you finish it and there's an online thing wich is to play as a human or a special zombie called Night Hunter wich is pretty good but you play with real people.
MY CONCLUSION:
Both games are great, pretty good but Witcher 3 wins by far (im not a fanboy donw worry, as you can see i played both so im not talking lies)
Witcher 3 story will really impact you and you wont be like "Oh i want to finish this damm game ffs" no, you'll really want to play it, end it and in some ocassions you can even cry for sad moments (not gonna spoil you anything but its just... amazing) and so many choices to make. You'll feel connected to the game and won't want it to end (when it ends you can still play it or start a new game or both, how you want it) The Witcher 3 is the game of the year too and if you look at the steam reviews it say's "Overwhelmingly positive"
With this im not saying that Dying Light is a bad game or something like that, no. Its a pretty good game but just not as good as The Witcher.
So i say The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt :) Game Of The Year
Wow. just. Wow. Thanks you so much for this review you've made. I'll buy witcher 3 first. I do like games like these. And I plus the DLC is cheaper than Dying Light. Thanks again dude!
Snarky little bugger aren't we....
both are conected and are only 1 map, there are 2 maps/regions more that you'll find while playing The Witcher 3
Nope, you don't need to finish The Witcher 1 and 2. I started playing The Witcher 3, never played any other Witcher's game and i understood the story. (There are some Witcher 2 characters that you'll find in The Witcher 3 and you can import your Witcher 2 save file) But there are some little things related to The Witcher 1 and 2 SPOILER: The Death of Geralt of Rivia and Yennefer and how he revives with the help of Ciri or Philipia Elihart when she had her eyes But nothing really big. Im on my second playtrough of The Witcher 3 and i love the game and everything of it that i bought The Witcher 2 :)
You can get the other Witcher games too, if you like The Witcher 3 i recommend it i haven't played the first WItcher game but i have played a bit of the second one (I have 0 hours on it because i haven't played it on Steam but i'll start playing it soon, i had it in another computer but didn't finish it because i had to reinstall windows and RIP save file because i didn't save it right haha) So i recommend the second one and maybe the first one (The first one depends on you because its pretty old and i've read that the combat mechanics aren't that good but still a pretty good game though) if you are interested i've read about the first one and the people said that it doesn't really has any effect on understanding the Witcher 3 story.
