How is the modding situation?
I used to have a routine where I played this game once per year since it released until the remaster. I used a lot of quality-of-life mods like ones that improve Horse riding or stop Geralt from randomly tumbling down flights of stairs. I also used ones for immersion like the walk mod which made Geralt's controls similar to Roach where he would only walk and you had to press A to jog, and double tap it to sprint. How will I know which mods still work? Is it going to be a trial-and-error thing or do a lot of the mods still work? I primarily use mods from Nexus and I remember modding Witcher 3 was actually really tedious and took a lot of work to get a lot of them to work properly. I think it had its own modloader. Can mods be installed manually though?

Yes, manually - and it's generally an easy process. If you're going to play the next-gen version than make sure the mods are updated for it.

The sorceress class is really dope along with the other things the mod offers. That video was just the beginning of the sorceress class.
There alot more spells, everything levels up when using them more. Getting stronger and more diversified.
Can also change how you cast it, like I changed it to be able to always throw a fire ball. Instead of the fire slashes followed by the thrown fireball in the video.
Everything can be manage with new skins and animations. More also unlocked the more you level a spell by using it.
The instant teleport using portals I absolutely love. Making it so much easier and faster to traverse. Like getting an updated version of the quick travel mods.
Spells while leveling up can also backfire which prompts a backfire text, Warning you there about to backfire. Good concept for the sorceress displaying just how powerful but dangerous magic can be. Like when casting meteor and see backfire warning. Better move your ass cuz one will also be falling down on you. From where you original cast it. I learned the hard way, didn't have shields up and annihilated myself. The backfire really isn't that bad and chances of it occurring decrease the more you use/level a spell.
Can also breath underwater automatically casting an air bubble around your head.
Can use a hovering ball of light when in dark places, all works great with a controller. Only down side is need to turn sign quick casting to standard in options. Since the secondary spell of a sign. Needs to be hold down and doesn't seem to work with quick casting.

The Custom Player Character mod is absolutely amazing. I started Witcher 3 yesterday, after some years away and it was the first mod I saw and the first one I installed. The Sorceress is a kick-ass character. I'm in love with the mod, I really am.

Yeah for real, it's a definite must for any Witcher fan. Seems like Nik also plans to update it some more. To bad he was having issues using the Yen, Triss and Ciri voice packs he created. Was having copyright issues for some reason. Hopefully it's fine now since that really added more flavor when playing them.
