Tips for Imlerith fight on Death March (sign build)- Superior Griffin set.
This fight was the hardest so far (died like 4 times before I figured out what I was missing). It fools you with the first part then turns it up to 11. Feel pretty good about taking him down so I would like to share some tips(especially if you went sign build). This is my experience:

1. Most signs don't work on him in second phase. Max ARD tree will get him very easily on 50% HP (4-5 blasts)and start the second phase.

2. SECOND PHASE: He will zoom like crazy. Always have QUEN ON. I would recommend just sword hits when you get an opening.(Just slot in one red power for fast or slow attacks). Other signs don't do enough damage and stun you when you cast them.

3. USE LOCK TARGET ON HIM. My god this is what I needed to kill him. When he zooms around the camera will turn to him making it easy to doge him. After I did this I got him first try with no damage taken.

4. Listen for teleport sound. DON'T SPAM DOGE/ROLL. If you do He will teleport at the end of your doge and hit you. Doge after he disappears, you need to time it. Use roll to doge since his attacks hit in a wide arc. He will teleport like 3 times and end on a big hit when he is immobile for a moment. Use this to fast or slow attack him 2 or 3 times. Repeat.

To summarise your fight with sign build should look like this:

FIRST PHASE: Spam max ARD 4-5 times and get him to 50% HP.
SECOND PHASE: Always QUEN on, lock camera on him, doge first 3 teleports, hit him when his mace is down: 3 times with fast attacks or 1 heavy. Repeat until end.
Hope it helps!

I think he was most easy boss in game at least for me on deathmatch.

I was way too op when that fight came around. :D

there is an exploit of hold attack that happens to hit twice critical hit +200% damage before his animation and kills him faster than his 2 phase can enter. since you can stack potions buffs.

its quite easy to do as well.

it would require you to go for damage build tho and ignore spells.

but even without exploit its still quite easy I would say compared to other enemy.

I mean he does not feel like a real boss in game and its quite off putting since he is way to over hyped in my opinion, but idk I might be wrong.
You can basically ALT ATTACK ATTACK ALT ALT ATTACK your way through the entire game and occasionally use QUEN. This is my biggest gripe with this game - it's too easy. The last boss in Blood and Wine is an exception, but it's also easy if you know what you're doing.
