I don't know how to play Witcher 3. Any good guides? Not one that is stupid that makes Steam guides useless?
I want to learn how to play and then see if this REDKit makes decent mods. Cuz the Creation kit for Fallout 4 is totally borked since the "free update".
Skyrim - and Elder Scrolls in general - is built like a sandbox, you can just skip cutscenes and dialogues, rush to the combat, quickly gather loot and rush next to another encounter. You can ingore the main quest, you can ignore all the quests and instead powergame on the nearest craft-bench to get Daedric armor in the first two or four hours. The gameplay is top priority, story is just there to give you context.
With Witcher, you can't really do that. If you are skipping dialogues, trying to cheeze through leveling system to become as OP as possible asap and if you just rush from one combat encounter to another, you won't get it. If you want to simply dungeon crawl or buy a house, you won't get it.
You have to really immerse yourself into it, take your time, listen to what people say, listen to what Geralt says, enjoy the scenery and cinematography, listen to the ambient soundtrack. It isn't called The Path for nothing, the road is as important as destination. Embrace its story driven nature and you'll get why it became so legendary.
Got very good news for you; There are hundreds of games out there geared towards children that like endless action, non-stop combat, explosions everywhere and skeery gigantic monsters that pounce on you every 9 seconds.
yeah and if you like boring snooze fests there's this one
