Why am I short on Cave Troll Livers?

I thought one of the patches was supposed to guarantee their drop from Rock Trolls, but I've farmed Wham-a-Wham quite a few times now and he outright refuses to give me one.

If you really need cave troll livers, I advise going to Undvik and getting them from The Farting Trio.

I need at least three to finish my Oils. So I'd have to get one from each of them. Are they guaranteed or is it only a chance?

It's been awhile, but if memory serves me correctly, it's a guaranteed drop from all three.

I am not sure about Next Gen version but in 1.32 lot of times I was completing it only in the NG+

Arnt the farting trolls around Fornhala area? That's no where near Undvik, there us a troll in Undvik, but he do's not drop Troll Liver, he is a ice troll, all he do's is guard the Blacksmith tools for the Master armourer quest.

You're correct on that. But my point was that the Farting Trio is a guaranteed source of Cave Troll livers, which is why I suggested them.

Yes u did, with a wrong location, why bother to mention Undvik at all? has nothing to do with the farting trolls,. all u had to say was.

"The Farting trolls are guaranteed drops, u can find them on Skelige by a place known as X" which is correct.

Then I found another out in the wild, and now I have more than I know what to do with. This game is very lopsided in how you go from having not enough to having too much. You go from famine to feast at lightspeed.

U also get a few in the envoys an wine boys DLC, i think there's 3 there.

Save them. They can be a good source of crafting materials, especially if you have the Blood & Wine DLC. Materials for the highest levels of Witcher School gear is EXPENSIVE.
